If amino acids are the base of all proteins, why is it so important and beneficial to consume BCAA’s despite a high protein intake?
A concern with fish oil has been consuming it without other calories, and thus allowing it to me metabolized as energy: would it be a problem to take some at night or would this result in a waste since your body needs all the calories it can at night?
BCAAs are regarded as the most essential aminos - they’ve been shown to be the most anabolic, as they are necessary for maintenance and building of muscle tissue. It’s important to get lots of them because your body will expend them during training and require them for growth and recovery.
It’s probably better to take fish oil with other foods - just throw a few caps in with each meal. If you drink a shake before bed, add some fish oil and you should be good.
