I’ve got a little question about the BBB Template. I’d like to add a little bit of heavier work between the mainlifts additional to the 5x10 sets of rows or pull-ups.
It should then look like this (just upper body days here):
A1)
BP 5/3/1
Weighted Pull-Ups 8/6/4 (ascending pyramid)
OHP 5x10
Meadows Rows 5x10
Facepulls, Arms
A2)
OHP 5/3/1
Meadows Rows 8/6/4
BP 5x10
Pull-Ups 5x10
Facepulls, Arms
I’m just not sure because of Jim outlining often not to do more than recommended. Thanks for answers and your help
Have you read the books? He always advocates chins or face pulls or something of the like between sets. I do sets of 5 pull-ups between my main work and then the main assistance, no matter the template(BBB, SST ect.) in one of the books I remember he said he’ll have like 50 chins knocked out before he even touches a barbell.

Thx for your reply.
I know about it and did it exactly like this before (the last time I used the BBB), but I’d like to incorporate some heavier chins/rows to the standart template. Another option would be keeping the 5x10 assistance but starting the first workset with 5 or 6 reps and do a sort of descending pyramid

In the end, you will do what you like, but, what is wrong with your current template? Because, if you are following it, your lats will grow.
