You’ll hit a 300# MP long before the end of next year.

Sorry. Just being silly.

Helluva MP, Steve! I agree with Skip. 300 will be behind you long before the close of 2011

I think I’m more impressed by the chin up than the 300 mp, too. Not that a 300 mp ain’t adequate. How’re they affecting you biceps?

Thanks all. Didn’t know my chins would be such a hit. Now I gotta hit 20 reps to keep the crowd happy. Any of you guys that struggle with chins just do a bunch of 1-5 reps sets between pressing exercises. It adds up over time.

Harry,my bis have gotten stronger but my curling weight doesn’t compair to any of the guys here. I rarely use over 100 lbs on the straight or ez bar. That’s why I’ve been doing curls lately.

Finally made farmers walk toy today. I made it out of 6x6 RR ties connected by 2x6s. The 2x6s act like shelves to put cement blocks on. Carried it around for a bit. I like it.[/quote]

Oooo new yard toys…pics please. Awsome PR Mr. Eco, nice job!

I11/17
cleans 195x3,215x3,235x2
deads 355x3,405x3,455x3,475x1,495x1

farmr walks 4 x 200’ 2 cement blocks

After deads I headed outside to carry around my new toy. I figure I was carrying around 150 lbs. I’ll add 2 more blocks next time. First time I’ve worked out in the dark. Windy, cloudy and dark. Good times.

Definitely want to see a picture. Having finished reading Dan John’s “Never let go” I’ve been givng some thought to sleds, farmer’s walks, rock carries, etc. And the wife just loves it when I build more stuff to leave layig about in the yard.

eco,

Any time I do more than 2-3 chins my elbows feel like they will pop out (in a bad way), I get that I am fat, but I can hammer out 20-30 dips at a time when I’m fresh and my elbows are involved there as well. I was thinking that my total lack of bicep work might be an issue here ( I curl like cicadas hatch, every 17 years or so) , any thoughts on this? You have now become the chin-up question go-to guy by the way, more will follow. Nice work on the MP’s by the way.

Harry, I keep my toys out of sight so I don’t get any grief. It would be a different story if I left them on the front lawn.

Brian, I find a neutral or ‘palms facing you’ much more comfortable then the ‘palms away’ grip. If the elbow still aches with grip change you may want to get it looked at. And I’m sure strengthening the biceps wouldn’t hurt anything.

Huge lifting my southern brotha.
