BBB:Big, Bald and Beautiful

I’ve had many brain farts over the years. Open mouth, insert foot.

Low carb diet is doing well. I only had a craving for ice cream last night but didn’t give in. Can’t wait to get on the scale again next monday. Squats and stone carries tonight.

On a side note my dad was just diagnosed with diabetes/htn/mild form skin cancer. Its scared me into reassessing my priorities. Gut has to go even if my weight room numbers drop. And I need to always cover this bald head when the sun is out.

nice work on the sprints. i would still be in a coma after all that

Thanks John. Its still not pretty after the 5th sprint. Frothing, sweating, limping, lying on the ground.

Good sprints, good that the wife’s working out with you. Though I’ll never admit it to her I really enjoy mine going to the gym with me. Course she’ll listen to everyone in the gym’s advice except mine. Health trumps big lifting numbers.

Went for a 4 mile hike this morning at a nearby reserve. Back on the low carb kick again. Less then 10g carbs today. Feeling a bit dizzy. I’ll be 41 soon and would like to be in the 240’s by then.
so where are you sitting weight wise now?

BTW - that’s one hell of of row set there - putting all those extra plates to use? Just how many 45’s did you get and how does one get 500 of them on a bar?
x2

That sounds pretty rough.

Thanks guys.

Low carb energy drain setting in. Belt is down 1 hole already though.

Big squats there!

It’s a great feeling getting that belt down one hole, eh? Keep it up dude!

sorry to hear about your dad… if you have a relationship at all like me and my dad, that has to be hard. my dad and i are best friends. i will be crushed when i lose him. i do my best to enjoy every moment that i have with him.

is he working towards reversing the diabetes??

Thanks SD. I’m skinny like a marathon runner now.

Scott, the old man has lost 55 lbs in a 2-3 month period. 240 down to 185. All his numbers are great right now but he waited to long to see a doc so a lot of damage has been done. He’s 61 and hadn’t been to a doc since he was in his teens. Not a wise choice.

I had one of those ‘feeling like a man’ moments last night. My next door neighbor was over and asked my wife what we were going to do with the rocks I had collected from the foundation hole. She tells him we’re going to use them for decoration/rock garden. He says, ‘how are you going to move them? The big one is like 400 lbs.’ My wife points to me. He says no way. Of course now I have to get down there pick the thing up an walk off with it. Prompting a ‘there’s something wrong with you’ response from him.

yeah, but its a good thing to have wrong with you

ROCK ON!

That’s an awesome story, Steve. Nice to be strong…I guess

Ive been told this many times:)

me too - but not for the same reason…

i really need to see a vid of you picking up those damn rocks. it would be easy for me to pretend it was me.

Maybe there’s something wrong with the rest of the world.

Scott, let me see what i can do about a video. Get my 11 year old to help. Maybe next week when I’m on vacation.

You should have told him that you were available to do all the things around his house that men normally do for a fee.

Ha,ha,ha…wish I’d have said this. The look on his face would have been priceless.

Now that’s funny. Steve, great work in here.

Good work here Steve. I am sorry but also releived that you are on his side and behind him. The weight loss thingy hurts a little in the gym-- the secret to not losing strength is to lose it slooooooow. I drop 3-4 pds a month then stay for a month and just try too keep my numbers the same, after 6 months you are down 20 pds and same strength.

How many days are low carbs ? High carbs?

Do you have your macronutrients figured out? Supplements?

I can help if you want.
