semi-sumo deads 315x3,405x3,455x1
regular deads 315x3,1,1 225x1,1
tons of stone lifting

Deads just sucked tonight so I really backed off. I want to try a cycle of conventional deads. I’ve never really done them.
The hole was dug today starting my in-law apartment. Several new awesome stones were unearthed that are now part of my collection. I shouldered a stone tonight I haven’t been able to before. Made up for the suck ass deadlifting.
Wait…what? Did I just read that you did CONVENTIONAL deadlift? I thought you were the one who said that sumo was the only way to go  I sure hope this doesn’t end in some sort of cosmic cataclysm!
Is it the deadlift equivalent of dividing by 0?
Count Zero interupt cannot deadlift by conventional
Joe,are you on any medications?? I read this three times and still can’t figure it out.
I was wondering the same thing. The “Count Zero interupt” made me wonder if it was a processor error, though. Joe?

A completely round concrete stone would be a bitch to lift. No place to get a good hold. Scott, I’m sure you’d love stone lifting. MJ, I’ve seen those directions online. I may make one someday.

Skip,I think Joe may have been ‘stoned’ as Ms Ouro suggested. Lucky guy.

13 hill sprints and tons of hill walks.

I was a hurting unit after this workout.I’m donating blood tomorrow so I’m not lifting until Saturday. I’ll count it as a mini deload.

Not pretty today. I’m limping around because my achilles tendons are killing me. I’m getting old.

If you’re looking for a way to add variety to your stone workout, these guys might have an option … http://www.stoneartsofalaska.com/
Check out garden art it’s attractive (wife does not complain) and functional.

Thanks for stopping by Dutch. Cool stone work on that site. Those stones are a lot more attractive then the ones I’m pulling out of the ground. But we do have one stone that must weight 700 lbs that is this cool rust color unlike all the granite in the yard.My wife does have a stone garden type thing all planned. Of course I’ll be the primary laborer.

Gave blood today and didn’t passout. Had a free sandwich and drink. I hate donating but make myself a couple times a year. Good karma.

My heart bleeds for you:)

Good lookin rocks Eco. I like the home workout. Goes with the lift heavy shit theory of life.

Hope everyone is having a great Friday. My legs are still a little sore from sprinting the other day. Starting a new 5/3/1 BBB cycle tomorrow. Try to stick with it for the summer. I want to up the sprinting and tire dragging as well.

Went for a 4 mile hike this morning at a nearby reserve. Back on the low carb kick again. Less then 10g carbs today. Feeling a bit dizzy. I’ll be 41 soon and would like to be in the 240’s by then.

I’m guessing your dizziness comes from this more than a lack of carbs.

so where are you sitting weight wise now?

BTW - that’s one hell of of row set there - putting all those extra plates to use? Just how many 45’s did you get and how does one get 500 of them on a bar?

I kinda sorta tried that last week. After 2 days I figured out that the only thing it was doing was making me constantly think about the next meal. I could eat a pound of GB with cheese, and an hour later I’m waiting for the next meal. If I eat normally, I’m not like that.

Now, if I would just cut out the junk, I really like junk, I could lose the 10# I wanted too. Already disinterested in it. Just my thoughts.

I’ve been experimenting with carb cycling. The ‘near zero’ days are just a bitch. Have to keep busy to stay away from the fridge and especially ‘the snack cabinet’.

Friday I made a bag of rice (10 minute boil-in-bag), and I ate half of it. Saturday was my low/no carb day and I swear all I thought of was that bag of rice. Now, Sunday AM and I’m having a steak and rice for breakfast.

You’re right, Steely, those days are harder. I don’t go 0 carbs, but probably stay around 30-40 (oatmeal and fruit in the morning, fruit in my cottage cheese at night, with only veggies in-between).

But the high carb days…wow.

Things are going better then expected with the diet. I have lost several lbs already. I’m sure its mostly water. This time my wife is doing the diet with with me. She’s actually exercising as well. She did hill walks and sprints with me yesterday. I couldn’t believe it. I’m keeping my mouth shut letting her get her own thing going. I only give advice if asked.

Solo, I’ve got seven 45’s and hope that one day I can use them all. I weigh 257 sans clothes at home.

correction:
225 10 x 5 reps (only needed 4 plates not 500)

You lucky man. I hope your wife sticks with it.
I ALMOST got mine under the bar, yesterday. Almost being the operative word. I’m not giving up yet.

And a smart man. I have found that the mouth-shut policy is the only policy that has a chance of keeping me out of trouble when it comes to the wife and exercise.

If I try to give my wife my 2 cents worth about diet and exercise she tells me where to go. One time, years ago, I was dumb enough to say,‘do you really think you need those chips?’. It wasn’t the correct thing to say.

Lol…the truth hurts, in many ways  Some things are just better left unsaid.
Since I am the fatass at our house, I have no business giving advice on diet.
