BBB:Big, Bald and Beautiful

Soldog, one on my 2 heavy stones is kinda shaped like a diamond and is a little rough but not enough to cut skin. The other is smooth and shaped like a real fat hamburger patty, 3/4 of a circle.

OG, thanks for your experienced opinion. Always welcome. He may not get to try goal because we have two goalies. But hes tried all the others but usually plays D.

Skip, I’m like a child, It has to be fun or I don’t want to do it.

I’m going to make a famers walk toy soon. I have a few railroad ties I’m gonna fix together with handles on top. I’ll make a place to load rocks in the front and back. See what I can do.

5/20
squat 135x5,225x,275x3,315x3,365x3,405x3,455x3,495x3,545x1
ab roll 135x10,6,6,6,6
GM 225x5,5,5,3,3

Depth is getting better with the squats. Really tried to push my hips back with the GMs.

Big squats, dude. Big squats!

x2!

Thanks SD and Skip. I’m surprised how much my hamstrings and low abs ache today. I need to do GMs and ab rolls more consistantly. Weekend is going to be so nice I’ve got to get outside and abuse myself.

have fun with the yard toys. I am trying to build a couple farmers handles. I went and bought a bunch of standard hole weights to load them with, I just haven’t figured out the mechanics yet. prolly just use a bunch of 1" pipe from home depot…

I want to build something like this

We have a whole pile of crib (the wood in the picture) out in the backyard from my deceased grandfather’s housemoving business. I have many un-fond memories of tossing those damn things around under houses. I can still remember some of the old schoolers who could lift and throw two crib at a time by picking them up from an end in the palm of their hands. Talk about grip strength.

Scott, I burned out with high rep stuff. Giving it a rest for a bit. But I think I may have gained a few lbs of muscle doing that crazy stuff.

Jack, that pile would make a great fire. I’ll bring the beer and marshmellows. It is definitely some heavy material. Mine are only 6x6 not the huge stuff you’ve got.

Ahhh yes, fond memories unloading the trailer and crawling under old houses with those. Then jacking up the house to lay in a new foundation. The old guys always made me…the youngest, do the dirty work.
As it should be.

that would be pretty cool. when you adapt to the weight, you bolt more wood on the bottom.

You were a housemover? I have not met very many. Good times.

OP, nothing like grunt work when you’re young. The thought of work like that now makes me cringe.

MJ, I thought about cement blocks for added weight. Cheap and heavy. Kinda like you and I.

I did a bunch of construction work as a kid. Never moved a house, but laid concrete foundations under old ones. By old, I mean houses sitting on stone foundations.

Eco - I’m whicha on that. Gave up making a living with my hands a long time ago. Its much better moving heavy stuff for fun rather than money.

I should probably find something to do with these:

That sounds like a lot of fun with the stones. It’s great when you can get creative. I have a couple of tires (fat man and little boy- 450 and 250 respectively) in the backyard and a sledge. Finding something new and creative can fire things up a bit.

Nice squatting too

Jack, you have impressive wood.

Ms O, carrying the stones around is quite fun. More fun then the squats.

5/24
1.stone lifting: shouldering,chest height,overhead,deadlift
2.sprints dragging small tire

Wish you guys could come over and do this workout with me. Really is tough but enjoyable. Got my share of vit D as well.

Careful, you’ll get the vitamin D lecture from the Albino. You’re having way to much fun. Keep it up. I myself was in awe of, and, quite frankly, jealous of the size of Jack’s wood.
