You are doing some really cool Dan John type stuff these days. The crazy challenges is what keeps this hobby interesting, otherwise it turns into a grind.
Thanks Tony. Like you said it has to stay interesting or its a grind.

Skip, I kept it real simple. A chain around the tire and a rope connected to the chain. I tied 2 old handles to the ends the rope(12’ long). I used a chain so it won’t wear down dragging on the ground. For added weight I stuff rocks into the tire. Cheap and effective.
Interesting… I think I need to see what I can come up with this weekend.
Anyone trying to lose a couple lbs has to read this:

good article. I was thinking of writing a revolutionary new plan and making a million dollars from it called ‘Eat less, move more’. But that is all I could come up with:)

Pete, you sound like you are scamming me. Can’t I take a pill or something? Or get surgery?

Be careful. Some of the ‘detail-oriented’ people around here will tell you it’s not that simple!!!
I like Tate’s take on losing weight. It’s the 5/3/1 of dieting…simple.
I’m still waiting on the ‘eat more, move more’ diet…

that’s the powerlifter diet

“Detail-oriented” is a flattering euphemism for “unwilling to act.”

steak x 2 a day, at least. dozen eggs a day. 3 shakes. Heaping tablespoons of pb. top of everyday with icecream, cheesecake, a mixed drinks. and any carb choice is a good carb choice.
5/7
squat 405x15
front squat 225 5x5
I got the video camra out and am now totally depressed. I’m like 1-2’’ above parallel with back squats. I also videoed my front squats working on depth. That camera is coming down with me every time now. I really thought I was parellel or just below.
I was a little disappointed about my squat depth so I headed outside to carry some heavy stones. I pulled a new stone out of the bushes. Its my new ‘big’ rock. So after an hour of stones I was feeling better and came in the house.

Mebbe the depth wasn’t “according to the rules,” but I can’t help but think there’s some sort of training effect there…
I’m with Tony, get it worked out and all but its not like you got no work done because it was a little high.
Actually you got a metric shit ton of work done.
Thanks guys. Just something else to work on. I plan on using the video camera every workout for depth check until I get low enough on a consistent basis.

I think Joe summed it up pretty eloquently. That is awesome work! 1-2" be damned.
It is very impressive, 405 for anything over a double is hard work.
405 x 15 to bodybuilder depth is great work Steve. You also win the ‘most honest squatter on the internet’ award. If you had simply posted ‘405 x 15 ATG’ I would have guessed 405 x 10 at bb depth:)

x2 buddy. Still gut busting work, 1 or 2 inches off, big deal. When you are going to compete, then worry about it.
