Thanks Skip and Wilson. Nothing to sore today. Just the inner thighs and hams are tight.

Pete, the pain involved with 405x20 scares me. But I guess that means I should try it next.
Colin, thanks and good luck to your training partner.
Meats version of this last post:
Skip, I probably need viagra.
Pete, the pain involved with butt sex scares me. But I guess that means I should try it next.
Colin, thanks and good luck to your same sex partner.

I obviously am no Tom Platz but I appreciate your kind words. I’ve realized at 40 my best lift is squats. Wish I wouldn’t have shied away from them until I was 38.[/quote]
At 50 my best lift is…
Taking my wallet out of my pants for reps when the kids show up.
Great job - I’d like to give that a go for one big set of BBB. Much lighter of course.
Steve you are a bad bad man.
that is some great work.
wow.
I think I could do 315 for 15 but Id need some cash.
Awesome lifting man. I really think higher rep stuff helps in relation to being stronger overall. It is a great conditioner both mental and physical. I am going to have to try this. Are we talking regulation deep here or just about parralel? ![]()
Thanks guys. I’m not sure of the depth. All reps were done as low as I could get. So somewhere around parralel.
315 x 30!!!
CGB 295 x 6!!
Doooooooood! Awesome! I do 225 for 20-25 and feel like the world is coming to an end.
I am not built for squatting… 6-3 with a 34"-36" inseam… like an overweight stork!
You are getting serious strong brother, lookin’ good!
ECO- I am extremely envious of that CGBP! Great Stuff
wow, Steve, that is impressive. Just to put you at ease, I won’t be trying that. I knew you’d be worried…
Thanks Bunny. I’m looking forward to your meet.
OG, switching to CGB only has really been working my tris. I’m hoping to get my CG numbers up to where my regular bench was.
MJ, you’re a sick individual. I bet you’d like the high rep stuff more then you think. Throw 225 on your back and bang out 30 reps. I know you can do it.
5/5
1.20 trips dragging the tire (250 feet each trip)
2.several srints
Great workout. I’m spent.
Getting outside with the headphones on pulling a tire around like a nut job is something I highly recommend. Very relaxing. Makes for a calm evening.

Absolutely!! What a great visual. Me harnessed up pulling the plough. I’d try it.
Steve, what sort of setup do you have with the tire? I am looking for ideas for the one I have.
I have an old truck tire that I was thinking of using, since I don’t have a sled. Thought about using an old weight belt, tying a rope to it and to the tire and lugging it around. I could put DBs inside it, or just use the kids and give them a ride. They provide a nice variety of weights…45#, 70# and 95#.
Skip, I kept it real simple. A chain around the tire and a rope connected to the chain. I tied 2 old handles to the ends the rope(12’ long). I used a chain so it won’t wear down dragging on the ground. For added weight I stuff rocks into the tire. Cheap and effective.
You are doing some really cool Dan John type stuff these days. The crazy challenges is what keeps this hobby interesting, otherwise it turns into a grind.
