Not sure if you mentioned this, but have you had any serious injuries? Any nagging pain?

I know you like to go light (which most on here would call heavy as shit) to stay injury free, but what else have you been doing to avoid injuries?

My worst injuries came from playing ball. Broken big toes and 3 broken fingers. Nothing too bad. Lifting wise I have not had any serious injuries. The worst I have had nagging wise are my bicep tendons that attach into the shoulder. I get bad tendonitis in them from time to time. But 2 weeks of celebrex and some prednisone usually clears it up pretty quick.

I have had an MRI on both of them just to make sure and the ortho doc said my tendons were so thick and large they barely fit in their sheaths, so any small amount of tendonitis will be painful as they have no room to swell.

Damn, sorry to hear about your loss. How do you keep going? Better men would have folded long ago. Keep the faith Bro!

That’s terrible to hear big man. You really just never know. Life throws us moments every now and then showing us just how fleeting it truly is.

x2

Most people would have have stayed down after that, but it’s amazing to see that you keep on moving. Seriously, you seem to be even stronger mentally and emotionally then you are physically, and that’s saying a lot.

I’m so very sorry for your loss man, I’ll keep you in my prayers.

Thanks to all of you. Prayers and thoughts are much appreciated. All I can do is keep training and doing my best.

Have a few new videos up. Thought you guys might be interested.

Damn, you sure do make those 60’s look light haha

How’s the diet going so far? I think you said you’d already started it?

They are light =D.

I am going to slowly diet until december to bring my BF % down and then compete sometime in May/ June of next year. There are some things I want to work on before I step on stage again. One of them being staying leaner year round. I am slowly bringing my macros down to find my optimal range.

Bauber,

So you are in love with the reps? I always felt the triples just invited injury and the only thing a single pumped up was your ego. But man, 20’s? How the hell do you get past the burn?

I’m dying to see what you look like after you diet down. Me personally, I never liked to bulk up and then peel it off. I seem to be able to stay relatively lean and hold my size at 3,500 cal./day. No sugary drinks or junk food unless I’m treating myself. You must be eating over 5,000 to fuel that furnace. Where are you at with your protein/lb/wt?

Yes sir, I am in love with the reps. I live for the burn. This may be bullshit, but I feel if you can’t get through the burn and feel the pain just forget bodybuilding at any serious level. The really low rep stuff may work really well for some, but with me the weights I would be pushing would without a doubt injure me fairly quickly I imagine. Realistically I can train low rep, high rep, doesn’t matter I grow from both.

I am getting to the point where I am going to stop bulking up or gaining so much BF. Just becomes a pain to peel it off. I have a nice base of size that I am comfortable with now, so it is time to keep it leaner.

I am taking in 500-550 grams of protein per day. Currently weighing 311 as of this morning. 175ish come from shakes and the rest from solid foods.

Lol! I imagine Bauber going to train with some new guy, and the dude is like “Okay so what’s our rep/set scheme gonna be like today?” And Bauber says “Five different exercises. Five sets each. Widowmakers for everything.” And then the dude just being like “Wait what? I don’t even…”
