Lol! I imagine Bauber going to train with some new guy, and the dude is like “Okay so what’s our rep/set scheme gonna be like today?” And Bauber says “Five different exercises. Five sets each. Widowmakers for everything.” And then the dude just being like “Wait what? I don’t even…”
Had a guy beg to train with me for months off and on. Schedules finally lined up on LEG DAY. He made it through 25 mins before he said he had to go because his wife had made dinner…
Im with you man. Shit for legs i like to get some 50 rep sets in. Just brutal shit. Lots of supersets and giant sets for lots of burn and pain. IF you cant push through it i agree. Its pretty needed. I think shorter people can get away with less reps and volume but honestly opposite of what mnay say with my height and length high volume and high reps seems to be best

Agreed there I have gotten some nice progress from higher reps. More density and depth to the muscle in my opinion. Hit legs again today. They are coming along nicely. Been really pounding them.

I did alright with the lower reps but paid the price already with an injury. It seems to that the higher the weight is the severity of the injury goes up. Any type of weight training, BB or PL requires continuous improvement so gambling with the low reps can put you back to square one.

I’m sorry to hear about your friend Bauber, that’s terrible. You’re an inspiration with your attitude and your physique, keep up the good work big man
Thank you my man. As long as I am here there is nowhere to go but forward.

Agreed here, lower reps gave me progress as well, but with the weight I was using was really getting to my joints week in and week out.
Ludicrous strength and size, your dedication is obvious.
Apologies if I’ve missed a post, but how tall are you? And were you always a relatively big dude, or did you have a point in your life where you chose to super-size yourself? …or did you just naturally pick it up through sport training.
Keep up the epic work!

Thank you good sir. No worries, I am 5’11. Always been a bigger guy. I was my height and 200 lbs in the 7th grade. Played college ball around 235-245. Packed on more weight over the last 4 years through strictly bodybuilding training/ powerlifting.
Hitting back later this afternoon. It is a deadlift day =D
So Big M and I hit back today. We meet up at a close 24 hour gym and as usual it is empty on Saturday which is perfect. I walk in and he is already there and in a bad mood, which usually makes for a grueling workout.
The first thing he says to me is, “Big Twin, we are going to smash some weight on deads today. I hope you brought drank your PBG this morning.” (PBG is a running joke between us for Puss Be Gone) So we start with deads -
Deadlifts
135 x 20
225 x 15
This is just to warm it up. He wanted to go heavy. At this point he tells my big ass to set up another bar because he doesn’t feel like removing plates.
405 x 10
495 x 10
585 x 10
635 x 10
655 x 8
Right before my last set a slew of women come in for circuit training. Now my lower back was so tight I had Big M take a wooden stick they have for forearms and roll it over my lower back pressing down on both sides of it. He was kinda straddling me to do it and when the all the girls walked in we got some funny looks. But with my back that tight I didn’t give a shit.
Bent Over Rows
135 x 15
225 x 15
315 x 10
365 x 10
405 x 8
Its been a while since I last came round here. Nothing has changed. Still murdering the weights. Sorry for your loss though. May his soul rest in peace

There’s an excuse I’ve never heard of
Thank you for the condolences.
The last time I was at the ortho doc which was last year to just do a routine check on my shoulders. He sent a resident in who got flabbergasted and short with me when he couldn’t make my shoulder hurt or find the point of pain I was explaining. He was rather dickish with me tell the fellow (who is a dad of a guy I graduated with, amazing shoulder and elbow guy best in the area and extremely funny) that he couldn’t find where I was hurting and there must be nothing wrong with me.
The fellow turns to him and says, “Well OBVIOUSLY he doesn’t come here for his health or our good looks, so I imagine something is bothering him.” He goes through the routine shoulder exam and then asks me a few questions, rotates my arm back and over my head and out, presses down on the bicep tendon to shoulder connection very hard and BOOM pain. The resident looked like a whipped puppy in the corner. He then asks if he can bring all the residents in to do a practice exam on me and to see how much harder and physical you have to be with thicker layers of muscle. They had 1 female resident who was maybe 100 pounds. Poor thing struggled to even hold up my arm for the exam portion.
Had a guy yesterday make it through legs with me. He only puked twice.
csulli, you should man. If you came and inclined 365 for reps in my gym or pulled 655 for 8, everyone would go dead silent…out of fear…even the crappy music and TV would just magically go off
Btw, I had wanted to ask. I see you do barely any pressing with DB’s. Is it because you don’t like them or because kicking up 200lbs+ DB’s is too much of a hassle?

Lol I have multiple people who keep bugging me too, but alas they haven’t won yet.

I used too, but my gym only goes up to 130 lbs dumbbells and they are just too light. I still do some movements with them just not as much as I would if they were heavier.
