Wow @ ronnie posing! And fuck me, Flex is just total physical perfection. Ridiculous.
I’ve never gotten a chance to see Ronnie up close but from knowing and being around guys who compete around 240+lbs, I can’t even imagine what he looks like. It is shocking that any human body can hold that much muscle on its frame. It amazes me when I see him wear clothes because unless some of his size is illusion, there is no way in hell he can buy shit out of the stores. I guess that is why most of them are in work out gear nearly all of the time.

Shit like that makes me feel like I hardly even lift.
I love watching his Olympia posing vid the year when he stepped on stage at 296…lol wut? I think it was '04 or '05. Just nuts.

What ever happened to Cormier? After watching these vids, I remembered that I had kind of forgotten about him. I remember always thinking he was just a freakin tank!

So, I looked up a few vids, and it seems like he might still be in action, but did he stop competing for awhile or just kind of under the radar?

Edit:
This from 2004

I just don’t hear his name often. Maybe it’s a ‘popularity’ thing.

Cormier got sick. It had something to do with a spinal infection, I think. He is now planning a come back but I get the feeling that it may be a tad late for him. He was always one of those spoken of as not being serious…and with all that his body has been through, I am not sure he could even reach the level he was at before…which may be why he has remained so out of view since he got sick about 3 years ago.

He was always one of my favorites, but many of these guys are hitting their mid-40’s now and their competition is a new wave of guys who are just hitting their 30’s.

this is great, i’ll watch it in it’s entirety tonight.

Flex was the best overall genetically (shape wise and evenness) of all time IMO. Kevin Levrone is up there too but for different reasons, best shoulder arm combo ever.

Ronnie and Kai are two most pleasingly freaky bastards i’ve seen. Arnold for what he did and how he did it rounds out my top 5.

Flex has by far the best developed delts out of the bunch. I think they’re as big as my friggin’ head!!!

I was never a fan of Ray, but damn, that much shear mass on 217lbs… His quads look like they alone would stack up to 217lbs… he he he…

I always followed Priest and was disappointed to see his poor showing in the 99 Olympia, as I felt he should have placed higher than some of the others.

Glad to see Nasser up there… He had a great physique that also seemed to disappear into the void…
