Does it make any sense to use a barbell hack squat as a ME exercise? I don’t see too many people doing it
what the hell is a barbell hack squat?

I think it can be done. Its a compound exercise and you can use more weight then a single leg exercise or an isolation exercise. It also challenges your grip. Basically its a reverse deadlift, and most people accept the deadlift as an ME exercise, so why not a hack squat?
i throw them into the ME cycle every once in awhile. because of my …uhh… girth, i have to do them elevated to get into a position where my lower back isn’t rounded.

Meat is just a huge gear whore, he is getting 200 lbs of carry over from his goatee alone.
Its as pointless as doing DE work. There are a million exercises that work better. Not to sound like an ass (im going to anyway) but if youre considering using this as an ME exercise, you need to re look at what ME work is all about.

I’m with Jason on this one. If you want to play around with it as an assistance exercise go ahead, but I can think of about a million better exercises for ME work.

Well I’ve seen people use the trap bar deadlift as a ME exercise, and the hack squat isnt too much different IMO. And care to list some good ME exercises?

Any powerlifter who uses a trap bar deadlift as an ME exercise is wrong.
There a ton of examples on EFS, or you could try LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You

I think people need to think before they post.
