Bagsy's Training Log

Haha, I can’t lie that it (sometimes) looks enticing.

Also surprised that this arrived so quickly

The workout looks stupidly brutal and sickening! If i could actually front squat 184kg id try it! May have to give it a go with 100kg

Every time I check here, I’m impressed by your lifting; then I see a 7-minute-mile the same day and you’re putting most of us to shame!

PS what’s this non-corporate-looking yewtu.be you linked to? Some kind of non-big-business hosting site?

Honestly, I was impressed with Matt’s effort in the video. He knocked out smooth reps with 275 and killed it on the sprint.

It’s worth a shot. Nowadays I think Dan recommends swings or goblet squats followed by the 200-400m sprint or a sled pull.

Thanks for the words! The running isn’t the tough part since I’m lighter and did so much running over the years. Yet I gain strength at a snail’s pace… I doubt I could beat my mile PR from high school, but I was weak as hell back then.

It’s basically an open-source YouTube alternative (a front-end) that removes ads and other undesirable features.

pshh… just install an adblocker on your browser lol

I’m not bothered by simply seeing ads. It’s the other things. I have installed many privacy plugins and prefer to not use Google’s services as much as I can.

That’s why I still don’t use chrome lol. But yeah, google’s collection of data is kinda scary tbh. Haha.

A bit outdated, but I’m still use Firefox.

Firefox is what I currently use. My phone is also degoogled.

I’m on android, so no choice there. I have a separate email just for exactly that. I barely do any work or anything serious on my phone though. I’ve always preferred computers.

I don’t do any work on my phone, either. I don’t send email from there.

I also have Android. It’s very easy to degoogle if you have a Pixel.

Oh really? That seemed counter intuitive. I thought pixel was the google phone?

Ironically, it is ridiculously easy to flash a Pixel and install a different OS if the phone is unlocked

16 minute run + 50 band pull aparts.

I am feeling totally wrecked from yesterday’s deadlifts, which is unlike me. Last night I switched magnesium brands and thankfully slept better than usual. Switching magnesium brands may have played a role.

I’m getting my second dose of the vaccine today. Should be interesting…

I had a headache, was fatigued, and had some mild body soreness yesterday (got mine the day prior). I preemptively took the day off and I’m glad I did but I definitely could’ve powered through it.

I guess I love myself so much that I scheduled for Friday so I could potentially spend the weekend suffering.

Glad it hasn’t been too bad for you. I’ve heard far more horror stories, but reading yours, as well as knowing that my friend who got his the same day as you had zero symptoms besides arm soreness, is comforting.

Yea, you’ll be fine. I think there is an inverse correlation between age and side effects and women usually have stronger immune responses, so you might suffer a bit more than me but it isn’t that bad. I found a table with the percentages of people with each side effect (n ~2200) and that made me feel better

Whatever happens, I’ll probably be a big baby about it since I haven’t been sick in nearly two years

I felt super weak today. I’m still trashed from Thursday for some reason. No symptoms from the vaccine besides a bit of a stuffy nose when waking up and tricep soreness (way worse than shoulder soreness imo).

Did they inject you in the tricep?! Impressed you’re lifting the next day, in any case
