If it makes you feel better, I filed an amended return last year that I sent in June. I got my refund from that 2 weeks ago.
I’m not buying anything else until my move but you should keep buying these things and reviewing them, so I know what to buy. I worry about how the weight will be distributed in there and how hard it will be to change the weight.
My point is that you’d make more progress if you didn’t limit yourself to doh. Even if your grip is not the limiting factor currently, weights feel lighter if you use straps/ different grip.
My reps feel a lot faster and easier with straps, even in ranges in which I could lift them double over handed.
That makes me feel worse! I also need to amend my return from last year.
Oh no, don’t tell me that
From what I read Titan is either hit or miss. There are some nice adjustable KBs out there, but this is a steal for the price. I don’t really want to buy multiple KBs because of space, and because I’ll more likely than not be making a big move again in 2-3 years, probably by myself.
I really don’t think the difference will be huge, but I’ll try mixed grip next time and see what happens.
I feel like i should probably stop saying “if it makes you feel better”, my usage seems to not make anyone feel better!
Yea, if it is nice I might buy one when I get to Ithaca (pending your review lol). I figure 4 years is enough time in one place to let me accumulate as much weightlifting stuff as i want.
Ate more than usual yesterday, so I think that’s why today went so well. Plus I went to an outdoor celebration yesterday, the third of which I’ve attended the past few months. There was Indian food, and I had a little bit of lamb that was delicious. And a sip of champagne. I’m usually an abstainer. Fortunately my coworkers don’t question or judge picky eaters, but I think it’s good for me to do that once in awhile. I’m super introverted, yet in these times I’ll admit that interacting with people like this is much needed. People are still cautious about social events despite vaccinations (and rightfully so).
I felt so peachy that I did an extra rep on the last squat set… still left 1-2 reps in reserve though. Now I feel confident to up the weight next cycle. I decided to film today to see how ugly they look. First set is with 125 and moved super fast (around BW, probably a little more because I ate more carbs and salt yesterday… haven’t gained much weight lately) and second set with 140. It definitely looks like I’m still new to the SSB though
Ugh, realized last night that I did the wrong workout yesterday. I forgot that the third week of Coffinworm is different from the first two oh well, I’ll do the other 3 sessions this week correctly.
I should have caved a week ago because $$$$ but should be nice to have. I think if I like it enough, I’ll buy a second to have doubles. Then I’ll really be set.
Forever is 100% worth it, although the price point plus shipping may make you balk a bit, depending where you live. I 100% reccomend it if you’re planning to run a lot of 531 or 531 styke training in the future.
Today was good. I managed 9 reps on the second set of pullups. I’ve only done that many at a BW ~3-5 pounds lighter than currently. The squats were good, and presses were the smoothest in a long time.
I just finished listening to Dan John’s Attempts, which is awesome.
Worth the purchase price, you think?
I prefer audio too for driving; but if it contains something like workout routines I’d want it readable. Does that apply to Attempts?
