This went a lot better than last time. Although this is sadly the same weight I used last time I ran DW, today still boosted my confidence. It felt almost like I should have used 115 after all, but the last set or two was difficult enough; honestly, I figure I probably should not be on the verge of tears between every set anyway.
Thanks all for the words! I appreciate being a member of this community and following your logs as well even if it seems like I don’t do that as much nowadays.
I’ve come to the conclusion that I am burnt out. For now I am hanging on until I take an actual vacation in a little under two months.
Fingers crossed that nothing medically happens to you in 2023!
No, but I can easily justify not doing it. In general, I think that times can and probably will get worse – it sounds weird but is also comforting. So, while I’m in a worse way than last year when I was already refraining from hard training, who knows what the future will being. And I am already sure that 3-4 weeks from now will be an even worse time to run DW. I only have a little while left of it, so I will finish it. I must say that I am already thinking about which less intense program I will run next, hahaha.
Weird format for a series but I think (read: hope) it will probably feel more intimate than a normal festival setting. I signed up for presale for Boston/NYC/Chicago/Columbus lol
2/2 DW W4D1
Deadlift 175x10x10; three-minute rest
Front squat 90x3x10
BSS +20x3x10
3x60s plank + 20 sit-ups, no rest
Tenth set:
This went way better than two weeks ago. I did not use any chalk until the second half, and every set moved like clockwork. It made me feel like myself again :^) Really pleased to have done this slightly heavier than my last DW but while feeling noticeably leaner.
