Relatable. Hold on to every tiny morsel you can find.

BB curl 52.5x5x10
Lateral raise 10x3x10
5x20 BPA
3x60s plank + 20 sit-ups, no rest
20-minute run
Five hill sprints
Cooldown
I think I’ll have to eat a little more to survive next week. It felt really good to finally sprint The Hill again. It has been so long because the weather has not cooperated.

DW W4D4
Bench 92.5x3x9
CG bench 82.5x3x10
BtN press 47.5x10,8,10
Dips 18,12,13

20-minute run to work and another 10 minutes on the way back
Really tired. I am debating if I will stop DW after the fifth week or not. In any case, this upcoming week will be weird because I have to travel for work over the long weekend. I will probably try to combine the back and push press days on Friday.

2/8
4x8 pull-ups
70 push-ups
Hilly two-mile run: 15:00
I slept for over nine hours last night. I don’t like that pull-ups felt noticeably more difficult today, but the run was awesome. I am going to eat a lot today, as tomorrow is the dreaded final squat day.

DW W5D1
Deadlift 160x3x10
SSB squat 110x10x10; two-minute rest
SSB lunge 70x3x7
3x60s plank + 20 sit-ups, no rest
This is the dumbest workout ever. That’s all there is to say.
I’m so glad this is almost over!
How did this turn out?!
DUDE! Brutal workout!! You’ve got a strong will.
I might chicken out after week five. We’ll see. In any case, almost over indeed!
So, I didn’t get tickets during the presale because I bawked at the price of VIP, couldn’t decide what to do. I deliberated too long and couldn’t get a ticket. And this morning I was too distracted by DW squats and a Russian lesson. So it goes
And you?
I know it sounds like I didn’t try very hard, but I had bent over backwards for the past couple of weeks trying to get tickets for a different tour and failed every time, so I’ve felt deflated to say the least.
If I can do it, anyone can!
Impeckable work on the puns (intentional or otherwise)!
I bought GA tickets to the boygenius and IDLES days for myself and my partner in Columbus, which will be a 7 hour drive and require some planning but should be a blast. Tickets even for that weren’t cheap though, for both days it came out to like 480+ (for 2), the NYC show would’ve been 620ish for the cheapest available tier. Plus gas, food, dog care, and lodging will make this easily a 1k+ weekend, ugh.
That seems to be going around, hoping your (concert) luck turns around.

Nice! My friend got tickets for the SF date. It is so insanely expensive! I think part of me doubts if it is worth it for the set-up because I don’t enjoy fests anywhere near as much as shows, you know? I’m trying to go to Europe for a second time this year over the summer, so I feel like I should save my money if this isn’t a “hell yes.” Bartees is awesome live though. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up going somehow. I think you guys will have a great time though. That price difference between Columbus and NYC ![]()
Honestly, it was so annoying and depressing. Not even a Taylor Swift-level artist either. I am so disappointed that occasional entertainment is more or less inaccessible now. I feel like it has drastically worsened since a few years ago. Shows give me so much joy, but I only have tickets for one this year so far. Still dunno how I managed to get the Death Cab/Postal Service ticket.
Definitely, I am not that excited about seeing boygenius at this venue, I still am excited but not that excited, I think IDLES will be awesome though. I haven’t listened to Bartees a ton but think that a festival seems less than ideal there too.
Come to Columbus!
It absolutely has, tickets to see Father John Misty at a shit venue here were like $60 each with fees included, combined with Ticketmaster and co nearly encouraging bots to buy tickets asap, it is pretty miserable at this point. I’m looking forward to the day where I’ll at least not have to pay for a hotel when I go see most shows.
Hooray! Back to Germany?
I’m headed to Alaska for the first time ever over Memorial Day, trying to use that as a light at the end of my currently pitch black tunnel.
I get what you mean. I might regret this after the record is released though… I have only seen Bartees in a festival setting, but I know his shows are fantastic as well.
Ohio…
It is awful, and yeah, I also have to travel sometimes for shows these days. It’s almost always worth it, but it takes a toll financially and mentally.
The ticket(s) I wanted were nearly $200 without fees, which is already steep. And now they’re being resold for nearly $1k. That’s ridiculous for any artist, but again, this isn’t someone whose popularity matches that of Taylor Swift…
Maybe for a bit. I’m going to Germany in less than six weeks :^) but I might stop there again if I can swing another trip, mostly to stay with my best friend who offered me to stay with her and her family in southeastern Europe.
That’s awesome! It will be here before you know it. I haven’t been, but it seems great. I hope that you share photos and enjoy the nature.
Where are you going to exactly? ![]()
Goddamnit, bagsy, I know!
Amazing, that area is beautiful I did a superficial tour of some of it when i lived in Europe. Went croatia => Montenegro => Bosnia & Herzegovina => Montenegro (got food poisoning, worst train ride of my life) => Serbia => Hungary => Slovakia => Austria => Czechia => Germany on the student EURail ticket (except for the first bit, that was by bus). Would love to do it all again, take lots of pictures and enjoy!
I remember you had the photo of sardines from Costco.
Fyi, I just subscribed to consumerlab.com because they had a big study on canned salmon/sardines, and that Season Brand sardines in olive oil was their top pick for sardines.
Columbus is nice for concerts. I went there last fall for 21 Pilots (wife & kiddo love them). And the Grateful Dead a looong time ago.
Its laid out nicely for walking around.
I actually have been to Columbus before, maybe 6 years ago, and found it pretty enjoyable honestly. Cincinnati on the other hand…
Will probably make it to Cleveland before too long, heard mixed, leaning positive, things about it
We could chat via email!
Do you though

I eat those sardines a lot. Thanks, I’m glad that I’m the go-to sardine person, hahaha.
