Cool! Didn’t know they were still a thing.
Its just Ben Gibbard, right? Which name do they actually use?
Death Cab are very much still a thing; they released a new album a couple months ago. Next year’s tour will celebrate the 20th anniversary of both epic records from 2003 – Transatlanticism and Give Up. The Postal Service are otherwise inactive.
I would laugh if Ben Gibbard were announced as an opener.
At the very least I did not have to fight tooth and nail against Ticketmaster today for Death Cab/Postal Service tickets
Nice! I got tickets after about 20 min of clicking, going to meet up with friends at one of the two Midwest shows

I dragged myself through this. The caloric deficit is catching up to me, and I could mentally be doing a lot better.
Anyway, this program is becoming a bit stale after two months, so I am considering switching it to three days with mostly calisthenics as assistance work for a little while until next month when I likely shift gears either to maintenance or a caloric surplus because I took some photos today and think that fat loss isn’t in my best interest anymore. As always, looking the same as usual – very DYEL except maybe my back – after I do this. The ninth hole on my lifting belt is the new normal at least. I still don’t know which program I will do next, but I have time to think about it.
I’m also experiencing some digestive issues again and have started since a few days ago to eat strictly low FODMAP for the foreseeable future. So, that’s fun.
I imagine some flexed/pumped photos from the front would tell a different story than that one picture is telling.
In any case, you are looking great and your back is super impressive!
RIP
Your back is amazing! Traps and delts are saying hello as well. Looking good!
Hard disagree
Oof
time for some bodybuilding.
FIFY, haha!
@Bagsy - Your back is cut up and your shoulders are popping—looking good!
Deep Water might be calling my name again, but I am also curious to try something different. Maybe MMS. A six-week program will suit me logistically. We’ll see.
At this point I’m just trying to release myself from the grasp of 2022, sort of like this:

12/20
Three-mile run 23:36
Rough

Deadlift 215x3x3
Push press 70x3x7

Dragging myself mentally and physically. A cold front is approaching, so I probably will not run again until next week.

I actually woke up with quad DOMS after walking 25k steps in the bitter cold yesterday. It’s like free bloodflow restriction training.
Took a slightly better front photo today.
But I still need to put on muscle, as always. I think I will run Deep Water in a couple of weeks. Aside from a few days away for a conference in February, I have a decent enough chunk of time to invest a little bit more in training.

Have you ever done a slow reintroduction to help pinpoint the culrpit(s) and/or dose(s) of the misery? If not, it might be worth trying - because a full-on low FODMAP life would be a total fun-suck.
Honestly, it’s not very different from my normal diet. The only changes I have had to make are refraining from Greek yogurt (boo), replacing some vegetables with lower FODMAP options, and substituting my tea’s “zero-cal” sweetener with maple syrup (despite the former being allegedly safe). Things are a little better now, so I’ll see about reintroducing things a little later.
Edit: Also stopped consuming chia seeds, which I also suspect may have been causing issues for some reason.

23k steps today. I prepared beef tongue to bring to a Christmas celebration with my friends.
It was a nice way to distract myself from my current rough patch.
Is it erythritol or saccharin or something else? I use some artificial sweeteners and have… digestive issues… also consume lots of greek yogurt though lol
That sweetener supposedly contains only dextrose and stevia, so no common offender like erythritol.
