Funnily enough, the knot encompasses my tattoo of another landmass. So, relatable.

I used to self-indulgently get massages from time to time when I was in college. Although I am not as poor as I was then, I am much more frugal, so I will probably suffer through it for two weeks until I take a trip and take a few days off. The knot is always a sign that I need a deload.

Rough session. Definitely didn’t recover well. Yesterday I went to my friend’s house, where we planned to watch some niche documentaries, but her wifi conveniently stopped working. So we talked for nine hours straight instead. Also ordered some meh Mediterranean food.

Fun times, but needless to say I went to sleep very late.

Unfortunately I don’t live in a town known for good Mediterranean food. And I guess people here have poor taste too because this restaurant has very positive reviews. But yeah, better to have great conversation and mediocre food rather than vice-versa!

Not my day – stomach was a bit upset. Decided to ditch the SLDLs for swings today and might do that moving forward. In any case it was nice to not rush; I’m working from home for two days in a row, which I have not been able to do since the peak of the pandemic. It’s nice.

I’m going to risk getting COVID by going to a show this weekend, and then next weekend I will finally take some time off while I go on a brief vacation. Hopefully the knot in my back resolves itself then. I hope even more that I don’t get sick.

Super hot, humid, and sunny. Legs hurt. Looking forward to spending a few days in a cooler climate soon. Ugh, I hate summer.

Supposed to be one rep in reserve this week, and I think I was pretty close to that on the deadlift set. Didn’t think I had that in me, and it wiped me out so much that I moved on to the front squats.
