Thank you. And also hoping the result comes sooner than expected. I figure that if I unfortunately get COVID, better now than next month. :upside_down_face:

Yeah that’s understandable, haha!

Im currently more anxious than ever to catch it because it’s getting harder and harder to avoid and I don’t want to get it in the way of my max out. I get 5 tests a week, so at least it won’t go unnoticed, haha.

By the way, I’ll send you an email soon.

I get the sense here that no one cares much anymore. I called my university’s COVID center yesterday, and the worker refused to give me a free test because the risk of transmission was deemed too low. But of course I am paranoid. I can count the number of times on one hand that I’ve been tested, so you have me beat there. Hope you remain healthy!

True…

Well keep in mind that I work in a hospital with close contact to patients. So I (can) get unlimited tests and usually have 4 antigen and 1 PCR a week.

Oh yes, right. You are an employee or a medical student?

Yes

But concerning the hospital I am listed as an employee (I think).
I do a dual study program to become a physiotherapist. So I work in the hospital in the am and go to school + university in the pm (and every other waking hour it seems).

As a PhD student, I can relate, ahaha.

Very cool! And busy. Glad that lifting can distract you sometimes.

Yeah I wouldn’t wanna challenge you in a game of “one upping one another”, haha.

Yeah. It’s my second dual study program (I have a degree in exercise science with a side of economics). Busy is an understatement but who am I talking to, eh? I don’t feel as exploited as I did with the first one but stress can get rather crazy out of control for us. Last bout of that caused some serious health problems for a number of my peers, which I’m really sorry about.

I only meant that I am both an employee and a student, hahaha. I respect medical students and doctors very much. Medical training is not easy. Challenging often in very different ways.

Nice, sounds like an interesting combination.

Academic and professional training damage mental and physical health much more often than they should, unfortunately. At least I also feel like grad school has been less demanding than undergrad. My life is more balanced.

I meant as in being busy.

I have mixed feelings about the degree in question, hahaha. But in theory, sure.

I don’t feel like I’m ever that busy, to be honest. There are always things to do, but many deadlines aren’t “real” deadlines. Medical duties are far more urgent!

Nothing wrong with that. Not everything needs to be a means to an end in my opinion.

Armor building complex with barbell
20 min EMOM 70#

Some band pull aparts

Decided to try something different today. I imagine it’s not the same with a barbell, but hopefully I can get another KB in the near future. I subbed the strict press for push press. Ultimately it was not very challenging cardiovascular- or strength-wise. In the future I would increase the reps per round, decrease the rest time, or increase the weight a bit – not much because the overhead part really limits me, unfortunately. Good to do some more reps overhead, I guess.

Truth. Nine years after graduating, I still have periodic, recurring nightmares about law school finals season, and I’ve learned some of my classmates do, too.

Ahahaha, I can imagine. That’s how I feel about my college memories. But as anguishing as they are, I sometimes reflect fondly on sharing some of that suffering with others

I have reoccuring nightmares about economists trying to kill me. I’m not even in grad school :cold_sweat:

4 mile run 31:17

Had to go to work, so I decided to run there. With some time to kill I tacked on a little extra distance. I haven’t run that far in a long time.

Also really sore from yesterday’s complexes, surprisingly. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had bicep and trap DOMS like this.

My PCR result came yesterday – negative. Given the circumstances, I feel surprised and lucky.
