Back...Into the Deep End

Sunday.

BE, like actually benching:
Up to 2x4@ 185/205.

Floor press/low pin:
1@ 225, 35, 45, 255
1, 2 @ 245
2x3@ 225.

JM press: 3x15, slow and hard (?)
Ab machine: 3x10
Lots of band stuff while pressing.

Monday/ 3/23.

Week 1 is done. Didn’t do anything, except some walking; not much else.
Found a swiss ball, and a few more band Sunday. Using those, and my local playground, to keep moving; starting today after work.

That’s pretty much it.

Weds/3/25.

Swiss ball stuff:
Roll out, roll ups, overs, unders…to the sides.??
Pushups, some with mini-band, monster walk and stuff, with a thick hip-band thing…squats with a band…pullaparts, laterals and front raises…curl type things.

It’s something. Still need some pullups and stuff, at the playground.

At least they have not closed playgrounds in your area. A couple towns around here have done so.

They’re cracking down on group stuff/pick up games ect. One lone goofball on a jungle gym?..doesn’t get to much attention :+1:

Tues/4/7.

Training at home: swiss ball, multiple light/heavy bands, 4 types of smaller/hip bands. Just got a pair of 25’s DB from a buddy. High rep, slow eccentrics…super pump/tension lifting…stuff.

My Doctor was in hospital with the Kung-Flu (be offended, then F-Off). 4 days, now home with oxygen. Only connection to it so far.

Onward and Upward.

Been doing some misc. exercise at home, mostly; just not enough. Been hard to get/stay motivated without the gym.

24fitness Might open up mid-May…so we Might have about 12 weeks before my meet that’s been rescheduled…that may actually happen finally, blah, blah…we’ll see.

The good news is, if there is a meet, most people are in the same boat as you. I feel like I may have somewhat of an advantage for mine in July, since I am able to still lift a little.

Your certainly right. Just seeing what shape people are in, ,when my gym opens up, will be a bummer. I know how it’s affecting me; of course I’m not alone.

That’s why I’m trying to stay motivated, reading the few here who can lift at home.
I’m glad for you so, keep up the good work and good spirits.

Got out for a little over an hour yesterday. I’m doing what amounts to high/very high rep accessory work, with few exceptions. Cutting most carbs back, bumping up fats…protein pretty much the same. That’s the jist of it all.

Onward and Upward.

Lifted in a buddies shed yesterday, while he sat across the yard talking to me. We’ll make it a regular thing, now that the initial shock of this crap is over. I’m shooting for Sat and Sun Am, every weekend.

SQ, mostly paused:
5x5@ 135/ 8x3 2 185, close, reg., wide stance; mixing it up.

Bi’s and Tri’s with EZ bar: 6-8 sets of 15,for both. DB work also for high reps.
Misc. pressing, curls, high pulls with a 25lbs farmer carry handle.

Yes, my ADD/ABductors are a bit tight today. I felt weak as hell.

I like all the old school stuff people are doing. Lifting in your buddy’s shed qualifies.

Yeah, the shed work was good. He’s got the basics for SQ/BE/DL, plus a far amount of accessory stuff.
Feels good, but I’m sore from my paused SQ this past Sunday

last 2 days= 2hours of yard work per day, after work.

Watched Prince tribute, and lifted with DB’s, light/heavy bands. Got some good pumping in.

This is what it comes to, without a gym to train in.

Last night:
7lbs of beef and elk meat balls. Some ‘spring’ cleaning inside.

Thurs/Friday I’ll do some rubber-band-pumping. Actual lifting in my buddies shed; Sunday

Sunday, April 26th. It’s Meet Day! My training cycle went great so…nevermind.

Shed lifting:
BE: 9x5 going up, to some at 185, lots of shaking.
Misc. DB and band Tri’s: 6-8 x 15+
Trap bar/Pendlay rows, RDL, DL’s: 5x5 for each.

Lapped and locked out 70# stone a few sets. Very easy of course.

Lapped, stood up 140# stone for 3-4 singles.

Lapped and stood up 140#, did 3x5 front squats with it, bear hugged it up on my chest
that’s what I’m sure to be feeling today or Tues.
My buddy also has a 600# tire in his backyard; I didn’t want any part of it yesterday.
He can get it pretty dam good.

I keep thinking we need to have a virtual T-Nation meet.

“2020 Winter Bounce Back/Muscle Memory Classic”

How’s that sound?

I like it. I think that might be a winner.

Well, it’s something Cripp.

Mowing, edging different areas, general cleaning and stuff outside: 3 days, 2 hours each.
Also, Deep cleaned BBQ, inside and out and moved 10-12 big planter/pots for spring planting

I’ll be digging up some decent sized/random rocks from an area in back. Nothing quite NH Lifter sized, but fun enough I’m sure.

Spent 45 mins, cleaning out/digging up weeds and crap, did weed barrier, put down some red-bark cover stuff; Cat spend 90 secs., turning it into a cat box
