Back in the Mix

Hey all,

Back in the mix after years of hiatus from family life, work, babies, etc. Want to get back into my workout and health routine. Saw articles in the past (How to Design a Damn Good Workout Plan 1 and 2) that helped me greatly, but I don’t see them anymore.

I used Biotest products in the past, but what I used to use is no longer (Surge Recovery, Alpha Male, Hot Rox). Is Mag-10 the new post workout drink, or can I use Metabolic Drive for post-workout?

Just looking to shed the weight and feel good again. As a mid-40s father and husband, it’s hard to do what I used to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. Glad to be back into the mix.

Not sure about supps (UK based), wondering if the series you’re referring to is this one:

Which culminated in this program:

If not, sorry this entire post was useless but welcome back to it!

MD protein and mag 10 both work as post workout drinks but mag 10 is specifically designed for this. I recommend using that post-workout & the MD protein for your other protein shake needs.

Welcome back! Started the journey you’re on about 8 years ago. Lot of fun. Be patient. Your development will be slower.

There’s a ton of great products here that will help you build muscle while burning fat. If burning fat is the key objective I recommend cardio with your weight lifting. I use orangetheory for my cardio (3 times a week). Extremely effective and lots of fun. Expensive but… It’s worth it.

Alex, thank you so much! This wasn’t the article, BUT this is actually very very informative! Just skimmed through these articles now and I’ll read thoroughly later. Great principles listed here. Much appreciated!

Hey, thank you! It’ll be a journey for sure… not my first rodeo, so I’ll know what to expect thankfully. Just wanna do things the way I used to… but need to be more mindful now that I’m older. I’m going to try both out and keep you posted. I’m just simply looking to do a simple workout regimen and lose some pounds. Pretty straight-forward. Thank you once again!
