Babyfat?

In recent posts i’ve heard many mentions of “Babyfat” what is really meant by this statement. Are you more likely to get leaner and harder while you get older. Or with the solid program I use now at the ripe age of 17 is the training progress all i have to look forward to. Oh does anyone have like a more scientific definition of babyfat thanks

Intersting Q. Bump.

This isn’t really scientific, but it’s how I understand it. I’ve always believed that “babyfat” refers to the last vestiges of subcutaneous fat that can give one the appearace of youth (“cherub face”).

When most people, especially males, enter puberty, their hormonal profile changes radically and these fat stores often get burned up, especially if activity levels go up (as they do in athletics). Thus, the body and face takes on a more "mature" look.
