Edgy ah, thanks. BTW love your new avi!
Dday I know, I just am not diggin the timing, but who ever likes a set back! i know one thing, if i come in your log and your NOT doing the things that got moving you along (hello who grows as an adult adult, huh?!!)
Im going to kick your cyber butt!
Colin Well I say chiro they say “spine specialist”, but yea unfortunately couldnt get in till the 18th.
Viper Im with you. Thanks on traps, I cant say I would have thought Id like a lumpy neck, but I do :-~
Having to work around things makes me realize how much of a sedative this whole lock yourself in the basement with some cold iron is…
Git I must keep my back muscles, I have to say the back became my favorite body part. A back is like a map, and I didnt want to look like Kansas.
Thanks for the E-LOVE, Im not being stupid, I am being careful. The last few days I have moments that I feel “normal”, but a little quick turn, or bend and Im reminded, “not so fast”.
man that is a secksey back up!
I know how it feels to be called skinny all the time, I hate it ![]()
That stuffed pepper looks awesome.

Matty, I ought to dig out the old family photos of me at age 8 or 10. I had arms that were literally - LITERALLY - no bigger than pool cues. You’d swear I was a famine victim or something.

hahaha ya, right! Im sure you have some names called your way…
I love those peppers, who am I kidding I love most every food!
Today
back feels so much better. I have really been getting the hammies stretched, I think this is the main cause.
Did my warm up then some RDL slow move with the bar, and i could feel that ham just tie up and pull my lower back. Did more stretching and whalla, gone!
SO
Bench DB flat feet still just in case, EDIT feet up on bench
20s 1x 12-0 25s 3x12-0
low incine
25s 3x 12-0 count for flat and incline at bottom. I freaking LOVE when my arms sholders/tris are still
shaking after i stop.
NG 3x8 65 YES, was able to keep the elbows from doing any flaring on way up.s
some db shrugs
straight arm press downs bands, back felt solid.3x10 nice hold too.Didnt want to push it, ended there.
legs
did the rdl not for any kind of weight
single leg work mainly
and glute thrusts nothing crazy, was a lot of tension on low back.
3x20 65
band ext and curl
calves
ended with a long stretch
So nothing earth shattering but smart training. Ill be back 100% this way!

lula Backs ok, thanks for asking. Hub did a deep, very deep massage last night. He said he could feel like a ballish shape in lower back and left glute. Super deep in glute, I know I couldnt even dig a ball in there that hard as he was working on it. Had tears coming but i know its got to get relaxed out. Hamstrings are like rocks too. Sad thing was, after all that torture it wasnt long before i tightened up. Today is the first day i noticed sitting wasnt that bad.
I have an apt, to check everything out, but couldnt get in till 18th!
I keep looking to see if Im losing muscle, luckily had a decent base.
Im going a bit crazy not hitting it like I wanted to by this month
I know others have gone months, so I wont wallow in my misery (out loud anyway) hehe

Your piriformis is to blame. Roll on the spot after apply linament with a baseball -rinse-rather-repeat for a couple of days. I bet your right hip flexor is tight and tender as well…
Lots of advil as well. A lot of women I train have these issues and it takes awhile to get it sorted out (1-2 weeks) then continous mobility work on the area.
Look up the Piriformis on google and see all the problems this little muscle causes.
hope this helps

Yes, and actually both hip flexors are super tight. But yea, glute, hamstring, low back my left side knots, Ill let hubby torture me again tonight.
Sadly, as I lower my head, the day it happened I didnt do my normal warm up, lesson learned.
Have to look for that linament I have like an icy hot, but never used it. I was taking advil, but stopped.
Thanks for the input
UP, I also have issues with my piriformis and psoas / tight hip flexors and tight hamstrings and calves.
I’ve been doing some stretching for hip flexors and calves from mobility wod. com…really good stuff on there.
I’m trying to get as half as flexible as Snap…: )
On the whole torture thing.
Lay on your back and bring your left leg up and over your bady and have your left knee touching the ground. Should look like your doing a skip midway through it ie: left legs looks like an L.
That position is after some light stretching to warm up area applied with linamanet. Then have your Husband apply pressure in a circular manner with his knuckles (fist). This done daily will help alleviate the problem.
Works good but painful.
Enjoy the Pain… ![]()

Hey, Up,
Cool on getting some KBs - but in my opinion, you might not want to even bother with a 12#; you’re strong, and I think you’d find very quickly that it’s too light for you. Maybe the 15 to have a light one if you want for starters…so, a 15 and 20 (or is there somewhere you can try out a 20 & 25 before buying for your home gym? Might seem heavy at first, but if you do 2-handed swings, you’ll benefit more from those than from the 15).
(Psst…Rick had RKC certification…that’s Russian Kettlebell Cert. and has great experience in that arena. Maybe he can suggest a good starting weight given your background…) ![]()
Looking forward to hearing how it goes!
