Those hills did not feel easy. My legs did not have enough mojo to churn like I would have liked. You would not think being on your feet at the hospital would take that much out of you, but apparently it did. Gross.

Yeah, walking around does take a lot out of the legs. I’ve adapted now, but when I first started as a practicum student with Todd I would come home and just crash. My legs would feel like jello sometimes.

Why do patients feel the need to lie to me? If I ask you about your glucose control at home, and you tell me its good, and your HbA1c comes back incalculably high, I know you are lying. Seriously, the machine spit out pixie dust when it read the blood work,

Eh, glucose schmukos.
Tell them a proper diet, maybe they think sugar comes from only Starburst… you know, earn that co-pay

You added 180 lbs to your dips?.. well, damn.

Haha! Sweetheart, you aren’t too far off. It is amazing how ignorant people are about diet. And I use the term “ignorant” in the most benign way possible. They are simply not educated on the subject.

And the 180lb was only for a double. One day I will play around with big-boy weight.

Wednesday

???

Wednesday was… rest day?

Precisely. Haha, actually I am not sure what happened. The whole post read that I did nothing Wed or Thurs, but I guess T-Nation didn’t feel like posting that much. Anyway, today:

PRESS: 115x5x3
DEADLIFT: 265x5x3
GOOD MORNING: 155x5, 3, 3
SQUAT: 155x24
DIPS: BWx20, 20, 20
NG CHINS: BWx10, 10, 10
GH BAND SIT-UP: Orangex10x2
GH BAND RAISE: Orangex10x2
Conditioning: Hills x 12, 40 s rest

And thus completes the deload. Thank goodness. I do them because I know I must, but oh do I loathe them so. Anyway, the shelf went ok today. There is usually some give-away on these things, but for 12-15 of them, I could have stared for another 2 hours and not come up with the answer. Good thing is, you are graded against your colleagues and they felt much worse about it than I did. Good for me.

Awesome! Nice job. I knew you’d do well. I hate deloads too. I’d rather just take a couple handfulls of D-bol as my deload week! haha! That way I’ll recover better and still be able to train hard. Damn my decision as a drug-free lifter! Ha!

I keep forgetting you write in pounds! I saw your press at 115x5x3 and had to think about it for a second. Haha!

Haha, Dougie I write in pounds so I don’t have to do conversions when people ask, as I am sure they will.

On Sunday:
PROWLER (100lb.)x20yd.x20, 20 sec rest

I just needed to get in and do something. Went out on Friday, and whiskey was consumed in abundance. Saturday I spent the day with my parents. Sunday I had a brunch with my grandparents, cousin, aunt, uncle, mother,

Well luckily, I can convert kgs to lbs so I don’t have to ask :stuck_out_tongue:
It took a while for my first inscinct not to say “skinny dude” when I read 95 kgs.

Anyway, happy birthday <3

Glad to see you got out. You deserved it!

Thanks man.

It always takes me time to warm up in the morning. 386x5 is not my level, but the morning saps me. But alas, if I am to continue to train during ortho, compromises will be made.

Nikki, what happened to my b-day present?

Heh, I didn’t know if you took it seriously. Didn’t want it to come as a shock :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, to anyone that reads my log, sorry for not posting. I started my Ortho elective on 9/13 and am having a great time. I am definitely learning far more than I did on Internal Medicine. Since this is the field I want to go into, I have been working to impress. Everyday (except Monday) this week, I got to the morning question session at 5:50 am, and never left earlier than 6 pm. The problem with that schedule is my gym is only open from 5:30-8:00, so I could only make it Monday, because they had be arrive at 9:00, and Tuesday. Perhaps I can contact the owner and request a key so I can get in earlier.

PRONE ROW: 198x2x7

This hiatus from lifting is the longest outside the deload before a meet in a long, long time. It may not even end tomorrow, since I already committed to taking 7:00 am-7:00 pm. I am not sure what I am going to do, but this elective only lasts four weeks. If this is the sacrifice that has to be made to get a letter of recommendation, or be considered for a spot, then so be it. Next week, I will make the move to at least do some sort of running, pull-ups, push-ups, crunches routine in the morning, if I am not able to lift. That last sentence makes me ill, but c’est la vie.
