Avatar.....Tonight

I think the general consensus is that Blue Smurf chick is bangable. But what we forget is that she’s 8 feet tall and could probably throw us like a bag of potatoes.

Still not seeing a problem, and a tailjob would be awesome.

That movie redefined the phrase, “getting some tail.”

Speaking of that:

SPOILER**

One of my friends was appalled by the Na’vi’ tail-apparatus and the whole “becoming one” with the flying animal-thingy. Said it was too close to simulating rape. Oh,yeah? [/quote]

I think that may be taking it a bit far.

Alright, so it was a good movie, but way too long. That’s my bad for having a short attention span and an ass that goes numb after 3 hours of Avatar, but still…

I liked how they crossed the Avatar world with the human world gradually. At first, the guy was in no real danger and his avatar being captured wasn’t a big deal, but then he jacked the machine and shit got real.

Also, the sergeant guy was just a little too cheesy, but still amusing.

Also, all of the blue dudes were cruising around on their little Toyotas and then our man comes along and tames the fucking Bentley with wings for days and all of a sudden, the whole tribe respects him. There was some silly shit like that in there.

Also, he was an asshole for getting with the blue chick because he had no idea if his grand plan would succeed; if it didn’t, he would have fucked her over big time with her tribe relations.

Its a stinkbomb. Take every liberal cause from the past 50 years or so…and there you go. Stunning visual effects, stinkbomb of a plot.

As in, epic fail. Plot was moronic and written by some far left kook bloggers, as far as I can tell.

Movie = Stinkbomb

Lol ! Too true - Semper Fi. True for me, too. I haven’t seen this movie yet, but looking forward to it.

You’ll be the only ‘thing’ worth looking at, in that theatre during that movie. I swear, John Kerry and Al Gore collaborated. What a bomb!!

Yet your loopy ass still was in a theater for three hours and watched it. Not like you were forced by left-wing quacks to watch it…lol.

Just got back from seeing it in IMAX.

Thought it was outstanding. In terms of CGI it is absolutely groundbreaking. It has broken through a huge plateau in terms of what is possible via computer graphics, similar to what the original Star Wars did. We’re living in the age of “big” movies, but I can’t see this one being topped for some time to come.

SPOILER (??)

Story-wise…yeah, call it left-leaning hippie crap or whatever, but I liked it. I believe in the interconnectivity of nature and this touched on it quite a bit. What happened to the Na’vi is in no way dissimilar to any one of thousands of indigenous cultures in history who have been shat on for the sake of “development”.

The writers did make a few convenient leaps though, one of which being how easily Jake became a messiah simply for jumping on the back of the giant dragon (you’d think someone else would have tried that). That one leap absolved him of any guilt for the attacks.

I really would have liked to see the blue chick’s nipples though, and maybe even a “director’s cut” fuck scene. You know she’d be an absolute terror in the sack (erm, “on the forest floor”)

Overall, I give it 9/10.

I thought the visuals were fucking fantastic! the best i have ever seen in a movie by far that’s for sure.

That being said overall i thought it was okay. I found the natives annoying, the characters were forgettable, the plot was predictable and i thought they tried way to hard towards the middle to stuff as many beliefs as they could into the plot… not saying thats a bad thing I just found it annoying that the movie turned from an action flick to being a movie that just went along with all the ideas presented by the writer… but whatever that’s just.

if you enjoyed it more power too you, maybe if I lightened up i’d like it better.

I’m not an American, and I did not see any link to American history with this film initially, but I got to agree with HeadHunter here. The plot was predictable, and you probably know what was going to happen for the rest of the movie after jake was caught by the natives. The characters were developed in the sense that they were pretty much one-sided. You knew exactly what each of them would have done throughout the show. Sure, there were some “deep” meanings behind the plot but they were rehashed and done several times already.

The movie is great if you are into great visuals and stuff, but thats about it for the movie.

Actually, my wife and daughter were sitting in the lobby after their movie (Princess Frog Gets Laid or something  so I went out and chatted with them with about 20 minutes to go in the Avatar. That’s how thrilling this movie was. Anyway, my sons were watching Avatar so we couldn’t leave; let 'em watch the end. I did go back for what must have been the last 5 minutes.

John Kerry’s testimony before Congress comes to the big screen as a 3D cartoon…yippee!

Sir you have the greatest avatar pic of ALL FUCKIN TIME. I am talking about Wol’s current Avatar which is a chick getting “Sunscreen” applied in spurts on her face and cleavage. Nice!!

I saw Avatar last night and it reminded me of how I felt the first time I saw Star Wars or Jurassic Park. It is a huge leap forward in storytelling. My disbelief was definitely suspended. Absolutely incredible. I agree with others who have posted, both positive and negative, but you have got to see this movie. It was worth every dime they spent on it.

I think its funny how uncomfortable some Republicans get when genocide as a means to obtain someone else’s natutral resources is portraited in a negative light.

I think it’s funny whenever anyone twists ENTERTAINMENT into some political screening of America citizens. People that interject politics into everything can’t enjoy anything…I feel sorry for them.
