I have a buddy who does that (squat from a bench) and the little weight he does scares me, let alone 315. Yeah racks can vary big time in price. Some of the best deals I found were a squat rack for $140, or a power rack for $275. Brand new, free shipping, about a week later.
chest and tircep. Short workout. I’m feeling kind of depressed. With my new bench press form my lifts have gone down by 15 pounds on clsegrips and flat bench. I’m sure i’ll bounce back in no time, it’s just hard to use weight that I’ve gotten past again for worksets. I’m glad I’m learning young though. I can guarentee that in 6 weeks I’ll be bak and past my previous numbers. We’ll see.

Cut it short as i said it was kind of depressing. Could’ve used a little more weight on the bench. 305 next week no doubt.
on a side note kanye just recently came to australia for good vibrations festival and its the second time ive seen him, he’s incredible live however every time i’ve been to his concerts fights break out which is interesting due to his more positive message when compared too ice cube which you would expect a fight at
Shooting for a 350 pound bench press, 500 pound deadlift, and 405 pound squat before I’m 18. Those are pretty small goals, but I’d rather surpass them than not hit goals that are too big. Ultimately I try my absolute hardest to compete and win the Mr. olympia competition, lift as much wieght as my body can possible handle raw (reach my genetic potential), and to be the happiest most positive person around. I’m looking forward to doing these things. As you guys have seen, I like to post my ideas and goals, I’m using them as personal motivation. I’m determined.
On a side note I forgot to mention how long I’ve been training and what i’ve accomplished thus far.
First picked up a weight in 2005 and bench pressed 125. i did not squat or deadlift. unfortunately i trained dumb and in 2006-2007 my bench press plateaued at around 275 pounds for months on end. Remeber I still wasn’t squatting or deadlifting. Deadlifted 315 in May of 2007, and designed a new program for bench pressing.
In a few months I was benching 300, deadlifting 405, but I didnt squat to parellel so I’m not sure of my numbers. in december of 07 i injured my back squatting. I didn’t squat and deadlift for about 3 weeks after that. I hit 475 in the dead a few weeks after in febuary, 335 on the bench at the same time and a 350 atg squat.
I’m planning on rocking the bodybuilding/powerlkifting world as a natural trainee. My training is on lock. I knwo how my body responds to different stimulus. I also know my nutrition pretty well although my diet needs work. I’m going to college in the fall to become a nutritionist. That’s to be used as a fallback after my bodybuilding career is over as wel as to give me insight on better nutrition. I’m going to enjoy looking back at this thread as 25 year old and to see where i’ve came from. I will be doing a video series every 6-8 weeks. to critique form and view improvement.

ya, i’m sure he is his music is amazing. wouldn’t have expected fights either. who knows what goes through some peoples minds these days, prbably alcohol and drugs doing the fighting.

Kind of rushed, didn’t digest long enough and my stomach is kind of unsettled lol. So far my lifts have increased every workout for the past 6-8 months in the form of an added rep, or 5 extra pounds. Hopefully this continues.
What would be nice is if i could pick up the chicks like i can increase my lifts. I’m working on that, but that’s another story for another time. lol
Dude I love watching this log, Im 18 and a college freshman and most of your stats are exactly the same as mine my senior year in HS lol. Except my bench and squat were higher (but I had Division I strength coaches helpin me).I ended up at 230 at 6’2 end of senior year haha, your exact goal.
I was the strongest and biggest guy in my HS and I assume you are the same. I was the only guy who was totally driven to get as big and strong as possible in HS and I see you’re one of those guys yourself. Keep up the good work man, im impressed. Keep adding that mass. Il def be checkin in on this

Thanks bro I appreciate it. What were your numbers by the end of high school, it’ll give me something to shoot for.
Screw it lol, I’m still gunna tape my squat, bench and deads just because I enjoy it. usually jump 5 pounds in bench every two weeks, but I decided to early cause i’m feeling much stronger. Probably could’ve jumped 10 pounds

Those numbers seem very feasible. I was reading another thread and someone mentioned a 350 pound bench press in high school was weak. I wanna know what he’s smoking.
