Awesome job AB. I love the fact that you are humble, looking for advice, post videos, and are knowledgeable. Its quite refreshing to be honest.
You are no doubt strong. What are you thinking for the future? Some PL competitions or something? I think you’d do real well.
You’ve got some good size for a 17 year old…6’2’’ 217…hell yeah.
And do you have a squat rack in your room? I watched a few vids but only saw the bench and DL’s…I have a rack in my garage, but I must say I’d be a little bit jealous if you had EVERYTHING in your room. (Garage gets cold in 20-30 degree weather!)
Thanks bro I appreciate it. I actually had my economics teacher ask me yesterday what I wanted to be when I got out of high school. I told him a pro bodybuilder, I got some giggles from the kids in class, but clearly made it a point that I wasn’t joking. He seemed surprised, not because I didn’t look the part, but probably because it was the first time he ever heard that answer in his teaching career. I want to be a pro bodybuilder, but a powerlifter first. Johnnie Jackson, Ronnie Coleman style.
As far as a squat rack. I can set my bench up so I can squat from it, and it’s not the safest thing in the world so I usually don’t stray much above 315 pounds on squats. It’s unfortunate, but I have to deal with it at the moment. I found a rack for 300 bucks on craigs list perfect condition so I’ll have to look into it.[/quote]
I have a buddy who does that (squat from a bench) and the little weight he does scares me, let alone 315. Yeah racks can vary big time in price. Some of the best deals I found were a squat rack for $140, or a power rack for $275. Brand new, free shipping, about a week later.
In case you care to take a look.
