Audiophiles, Reply!

i’ve had my shure e3c earbuds for quite a while now, and was looking into other options: going through the reviews on amazon can be a biatch…

hence, i ask for the sonic-literate brothers/sisters here to post their pair of fav. headphones:

what do you use?
can you use it while lifting/running without any problems?
depending on your history of previous purchases, how’d you rate what you have now?

right now, my budget is around $200, and I’m looking for the best combination of noise-canceling/workout-worthy/audiophile gear worthy headphones/earbuds in the market.

thanks!

my E2C’s are the best things i’ve ever bought. If you liked the E3C’s, i’d just suggest either buying a new pair or upgrading in the E#C series.

I have e4cs. I can tell you where to get a pair for under $200.

I 2nd these, they are great for blocking out external sounds and the quality balance is superb.

I use the Westone UM2 and its GREAT!! *Westone used to mancfacture earphones for Shure so the UM2’s perform just as well as the Shure E500s!!!
hope this helps

Etymotic ER-4S with a HeadRoom micro amp. In my iPod for the gym, Etymotic ER-6i with the earpieces cut down 30%. Absolutely brilliant.

Anybody want to purchase some gold wire ear-buds for a mere $2K? They are 10 times better than the $200 e4c model.

I am predicting a new syndrome will start emerging in the next decade concerning ears and ear-buds.
