Hey Chris, I figure you could probably answer this since you are on here quite a bit. My question is… How many times a week are you supposed to train using the White Men Can Jump program? I mean just that program itself. It says in the program “…for strenth training you will train 3-4 times per week… at least half of which will be devoted to lower body training…” That’s not verbatim, but you get the idea.
So do I train using stage 1, twice a week, for about 3 weeks, and then use stage 2 twice a week for about 3 weeks, etc…
Is each stage supposed to be split up into two different workouts or is it all one workout done more than once a week?
I’m confused about this and I probably confused you too. I’m thinking about combining this program with the Bring the Pain: Upper Body program as I asked earlier.
Do the recommended workouts in 1 session 2 times each week (eg. Monday & Thursday). Do your 2 upperbody workouts from bring the pain on different days (eg. Tuesday & Friday). Perform a hamstring/glute/lower back workout on Saturday. Experiment to see how much you can do on this last leg workout. As Ian normally suggest, I would suggest you gradually increase volume (and maybe intensity) with this hamstring workout. This should give you some ups!
Thanks Scott… that is what I eventually decided on anyway (I started the program(s) yesterday and today). And I read closer into the Vertical program and it does very descretely say there are 2 lower body workouts per week. I read it wrong the first couple of times.
His programs are a little hard to figure out at first, but they are worth the end result.
