At What Point Should I Listen to Pain?

That video was 11 years old

I took a 9 year layoff and got back to near my original strength levels within a year or so. Not a big deal.

I do. I’m just razzing a little, but also understand that there are other factors in play.

The interesting part is that he initially offered it up. No one was even asking that I know of, at least in this thread.

He gave what seemed like a pretty honest evaluation and description of himself, which I fully accept.

Has it been 3 hours yet?

OP still logs on, just doesn’t post.

Guys I’m still here. Just terribly busy. And it won’t get any better since I’m gonna start college in 2021. But I have the video already.

I was hoping everyone forgot about this thread already so that it’d be a nice surprise when I finally post a video or a training log entry.

But yeah, my form is good.

My newest PR was last Monday, and it was 395 pounds for 4 sets of one rep. Tendonitis went away. I still squat daily.

Can’t stop, won’t stop!

What does your program actually look like?

395 pounds for 5 sets of 1 rep. This was the first set. I decided to just upload this one instead of the casual weight since whatever technique flaw I may have will be amplified if the weight is heavy.

This was yesterday. And it was a PR.

I did four more singles after that. At the sixth single, I failed.

At the very end of this training block, I’m gonna max out. I’m pretty sure I can handle 415 pounds right now, which is officially heavier than my previous max from way way back.

My next priority for the upcoming new program is my back.

And after that, just gonna bodybuild and finally pay attention to my diet.

If I can sneak in Judo training, I will. But it’s hard to imagine since I literally just enrolled for my college’s spring semester.

Thanks Flats.

Very nice squats. Fuck all the other stuff, squat more!

Grappling based martial arts are also gonna be a tough go while COVID is sitll a thing. I think you have a solid gameplan.

Is this sarcasm? If not, thanks.

But yeah, I have two more months of crazy squatting.

After that, instead of daily, I’ll squat only three days a week while doing other key lifts on the other days.

Seriously though, I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic.

This is in no way sarcasm. It was a very nice squat, dude. I see why you like squatting. If you wanna fit other stuff in, great. If not, build that squat up.

Very well done! I agree with @flappinit, keep going with the squats and see where you end up! Decreasing the frequency in a couple months is a good idea, too.

I appreciate that you so convincingly proved it. That was cool
