At 6'3, How Much Do I Have to Weigh?

OP I’m also 6’3". My arms are slightly bigger than yours, and my legs. I’m sitting at 222, at around 20%bf.
To look more filled out at a lower body fat, expect to gain another 30+ pounds. Are you really 215 in those pictures?

As one poster mentioned, it’s ridiculous when people ask if I’m on steroids. I promptly correct them that if I looked like this while on AAS, I’m doing something wrong.

Im 6’3 and started out at 170, very skinny. For reference, i am currently 260ish and i would say im just now getting to the point where im a genuinely big person, I.E. i almost never go anywhere besides the gym where i see people bigger than me. Even at 225 i was still too skinny, and i dont think ill really be “huge” until im hovering around 280 at similar body fat levels as im at now.
yeah filling out for tall guys is a bitch but hey when we do fill out we get to be jacked and tall at the same time haha.

can i ask what your routine looks like?and your diet?
I dont currently have a strict diet routine, but i generally eat a lot of the same things everyday. I would say im currently eating about 4500 calories a day, 300 g of protein and 400 g of carbs. Most of the carbs come from oats and a good portion from WMS as well.

My workout routine is a 4 day split: chest/biceps, shoulders, back/triceps, legs. Im in the gym 5 days a week on average and i lift pretty heavy, usually in sets of 7-8 for heavy compound exercises and 10-12 for isolation work.

Pretty basic stuff, just being consistent and putting forth a lot of effort (both in the gym and in the kitchen)

yeah im 215 in those pics lol this is what i mean tho…when i ask my friends how much do you think i weight they say 190…

I wouldn’t get hung up on a number man. Everyone’s structure and genetics causes them to look WAY different at different weights. This is about the long term. Keep busting ass for 3-4 more years and I bet you will look pretty decent by then, and will have learned a hell of a lot along the way.

Being tall is awesome but when it comes to weight lifting, you’re probably always going to look lighter than you actually are unless you have great genetics. I kinda got the shaft in that department, theres some big motherfuckers at my gym that are fairly tall and weigh about 25 lbs or more less than me yet look bigger. Such is life.

Hey Man,

Best of luck to you. I know how you feel. Im 6-5’ and am a fairly lean 272-277lbs. Like audiogarden1 said Im just getting to the point where I feel “big” Still I give up the eyeball test to shorter counterparts. Since we are simiar in height, and judging by your wrist, Id say we have a similar frame to put mass on to Ill give you my measurementst to give you some refrence as to what size you will need to attain to look the way you want without looking at the scale number.

Neck 18
Chest 48(my weak point)
Waist 35.5 (at navel)
Hip 45.5
Thigh 28.25
Calf 19.5
Bicep 16.5(unflexed) 17.75(flexed,cold) (not sure how you measured)
Forearm 14
Wrist 8

Like I said. Good luck Keep working hard. I think, as suggested, a bulking phase would be great idea for you. Keep it basic hit the compund lifts, squats, deads, Military press, and bench press. add some ancillary work that focuses on your quadsd/hams, chest, and delts and you’ll be looking, and being, a lot larger soon!

x2…it’s pretty irrelevant what the scale says, but rather how you look. Use the mirror and pictures to gauge your progress.

Austinbicep I believe is your height, and looks pretty good at 215 or so after he cut down…he looked like a hot mess at 270+

I’m 6’4", and if you look in my profile pics I’m about 235 lbs. Certainly not “built” but it at least gives you a frame of reference.

I’m currently hovering about 245 lbs.

Being tall and looking hyooge definitely takes some time, being lean helps a lot. Personally I’d rather be tall and possibly always appear somewhat stringy than really short and filled out. Tall ftw!

Agree, with the following exceptions:
90+ year old homes
Compact cars
Seats at Fenway
Airplane seats
Trying to catch a nap on a typical sofa
Client site work without adjustable chairs

I’d like to add that being big and tall makes college classroom auditorium style seating absolutely miserable lol.

The chairs at my university are the swivel out kind and they are packed so close together I literally get clostrophobic during class. I usually try and get there early and spread my shit all over so no one sits next to me.

You can bulk up if you want to, which is the current fad for men. But you have a classic shaped V torso, good arms and shoulders and legs appear proportionate. I would not worry too much.

Solid first post on the site, bumping a 6 year old thread

Well now we want to see how big he is

I’m on my phone (and too busy/disinterested to bother and check),… is he still on the site?
