Assistance/ME for Midpoint Bench

What’s the best assistance and ME work for the midpoint of a bench press. What I’ve thought of so far is band pressing (spend less time grinding) and board work for ME and supplementary work and hammering the triceps hard. Also, what part of the lift does shoulder work help with (overhead presses are what I’m mostly thinking of).

Floor press is great for that. If you do boards, you want to do 1-bd below you’re sticking point.

Shoulder is active closer to the chest.

Do board work. Rotate between 1 and 2 boards. Depending on how long your arms are either could be more of a “midpoint” for you, but both are useful.

As a guy who lifts alone a lot I bench from pins. Some people say that the carryover isn’t as good, but I’m not sure why.

Ditto, only I hang the bar off of chains in my powerrack at whatever height so that the bar returns to the same spot every rep vs a pin where it could ‘drift’. This helps me keep my same set up each rep effortless.
