Damn. X-box doesn’t have blue tooth?

FAIL

LOL
They didnt as off last fall, my stepson insisted on x-Box which his father bought him. He knows I game and wanted me to buy the adapter and X-Box live. And it doesnt play blue-ray, I just dont see the point if you are going to spend this much money.

Like I said in the Geek thread, I am buying a new PS3 in about an hour, cause mine is dying. Still havent decided on what GB yet.

I keep hearing this and the only reason I think most people even say this still is because X-box was first to have their online gaming coordinated well. Psnetwork has come along just fine…AND IT’S FREE.

I would actually be interested in what specifically makes people say the X-box online is better at this point…just to make sure this isn’t hear-say and bias.
I played both at a friend’s house…his PSN connection was a lot worse and the whole dashboard just didn’t seem as refined. Given, this was a while ago (a couple months). XBL has done a LOT of upgrades recently though, so unless PSN stepped their game way up since I played last…(which is possible)…then I’d still vote for XBL as the superior online system.

So Blaze you have $500 of your own hard earned money and you would spend it on X-Box. Just asking, my opinion is I use it for more than just gaming and I dont like to waste money. I get almost the equal gaming experience with more add ons (blue ray etc) for less money.

I think it comes down to system loyalty. There is no way in hell it makes sense to avoid blue ray at this point…and the PS3 plays EVERYTHING from mp3’s to all video.

Aside from different gaming libraries (and let’s face it, if you aren’t a die hard fan of first person shooters the libraries aren’t that damn different), why would someone stick with “hd”?

Me personally I think it comes down to who is paying for it? I find younger people want the x-Box cause of loyalty and they are not paying for it. (This is a generalization, nobody get butt hurt) But when you are paying out of your own pocket for system, games etc. you dont want another bill for X-Box live and peripherals. Just my .02

Just got picked it up, haven’t played yet because I have shit to do and I’m not ready to give up the next at least 6 hours.

On ps3 vs xbox, I have not gotten a ps3 because Halo was my first game I liked and I’m still on my first 360, when this dies I will probably upgrade to the ps3. Always have fun playing them

edit- good call DJ, as a young person who has just recently started paying all my own bills, thats a huge selling point for ps3 when the time comes.

I have one for the 360 and 2 for the ps3…and I haven’t beaten either of them lol I just havent gotten around to it…that and I have Video game ADD…NOW I WANT 3!!!

I pay for the majority of my bills and pay for the xbox live myself.

You also have to consider environment/friends. Of all the people at my school that game that I hang out with, only one has a ps3 (and he has a 360 that he plays a lot more often), and about 12 have xbox’s. For no other reason than that I’d stay with my 360. I’d rather pay to be able to play with my friends than have free playing without any of my friends.

The 360 is a better gaming experience overall - designing operating systems is Microsoft’s MO. They keep it up-to-date with addons and changes that make it worth-while to keep interest in the system. I know you bastards in the US have Netflix and a whole bunch of other US-only content. When last did the PS3 get a dashboard refresh?

Ask most people that own both consoles which one they use the most for gaming and gaming online, I’ll bet it’s a 360.

They are both very good entertainment consoles though, with the PS3 having the obvious advantage with Bluray. However, for gaming, the ecosystem is more polished on the 360.

Either way, I plan to acquire a PS3 in the near future too.

Lastly, fuck you guys and your early release of AC3. I have to wait till Friday.

Anyone else watch this funny voiceover of the assassin’s creed:brotherhood trailer?
I thought it was pretty good.

Still not delivered to the gf’s house. WTF. Hope the UPS truck didn’t get in an accident or something.

They screwed up my delivery time. They gave me credit on a future purchase for it. The same may have happened to you.

It will be here tomorrow.

Hmm. It has said out for delivery since early this morning. I was hoping that my package just might be the last one dropped off.

“Just kill him with your awesome”

haha

Girlfriend just texted me that it just got dropped off. She’s bringing it over now. I’m excited. I made a fair amount of food (5 chicken legs and 2 sweet potatoes) and now i’m wolfing it down so I’ll be free to play by the time she gets here.

Playing it. Awesome.

Ok. There’s a ridiculous number of purchaseable upgrades. Also- the combos and attack counters you can do look awesome. I’m through around 3/10 of the main story line and I’ve been playing it straight for about five hours, without doing too much of the side stuff. I think I only have 1-2% of the purchaseable Roman renovations, and I’ve fixed like 4 or 5 different things.

I can see that from your perspective, but your friends of the 12 did they pay for their own like you do. Like I have stated before I had both at my house, and I can afford to to X-Box live etc. I think this where the loyality started from not that it may continue that way. Kind of like if your dad buys ford trucks you tend to like ford trucks type of thing. I have played on both I just personally see a big enough differnce for the money.

Well cough…cough. I bought a new PS3 last night and put the old one in the bedroom for the wife to watch blueray movies and play Mrs. Pacman. Oh yea I also bought AC3 and it totally rocks, I will just say you will enjoy yourself on Friday. I will be playing tonight for many hours. X-box sucks. :stuck_out_tongue:
