Altair* had a voice. Just no retarted accent. He might not have been able to swim, but I found the map way more epic, preferred the crowded streets and kinda liked that you could save citizens as an “investment” and reap the rewards later (which they are bringing back).
I don’t know, maybe it’s because Italy felt like Stockholm’s Old Town on a rainy day. Maybe it’s the long part before you actually got to kill people in a game called Assassin’s Creed. But there are some ways in which I prefer 1 over 2.

Bump. 7 days. Also, they changed up the combat with the special weapons in the second and that made it a little more challenging. Furthermore, I addressed the fact that they’re changing up the combat in the first post.

I also disagree with him saying it didn’t get better in the second one. That sounds like someone who didn’t play it much. Combat in the second one is all about timing. You can pull some pretty impressive moves (especially with bare hands) once you get the timing right and learn the extra moves from the villa.
If you have never thrown dust in one of the guards faces and then snatched his weapon and stabbed him with it, then you didn’t use it to its full potential.
It’s out for delivery to the gf’s house. Unfortunately she has class till three fifteen, and I’m lifting at three, but I should have my hands on it by five.

I’m pumped.
Anyone else getting this today?
X, you playing it yet? Or are you stuck at work?
It will be there when I get home tonight…and then I have to figure out how to make it to the gym with this much temptation sitting at home.

Got to do like me X and get up at 4:30 to lift. Then your evenings are free.

Just don’t open the box. Once you see the game itself…that’s the point of no return.

You could do stuff like that…
…but the basics were exactly the same. The sword was the “boring” weapon with the weakest counters and best defense (you could just hold block), with the wrist-knife thing needing better timing to counter, and an instant kill whenever you did. In either game, once you got the timing down, you can basically walk around instant-kill countering everything.
There’s no number of enemies, or a type of enemy, in either game you generally ‘need’ to avoid.
I loved both games, but they need to work on the combat system.

They did. In the first two, while one guard attacked, no others could get a hit in…and while you took one out, no other hits would touch you. That changed with this one and all guards can attack at once.
Yes on the internet multiplayer. You try to assassinate other players while avoiding assassination yourself. I don’t think there’s a difference between the game systems as far as this game to my knowledge.
Edit: I personally like xbox live a lot better than the Playstation network. Just sayin.
I only have a PC but really want to try this game. Does anyone have experience playing it on PC? Is it as good as using a console in terms of controls?

I keep hearing this and the only reason I think most people even say this still is because X-box was first to have their online gaming coordinated well. Psnetwork has come along just fine…AND IT’S FREE.
I would actually be interested in what specifically makes people say the X-box online is better at this point…just to make sure this isn’t hear-say and bias.

Did the Red ring of Death Box finally get an internal wireless? Do you still have to spend another $100 to get the wireless adapter?
