Diet and cardio brother - once you get lean enough those pecs will be poppin! Seriously thick as hell - you’re going to look ridiculously awesome leaned out.

Good luck with the rest of your prep.

Your rear lat spread and that front relaxed pic you posted are just awesome.

Im sure you’ll do well and im looking forward to following this one.

Agreed, it will come off, you just have to be patient.

I personally like prowler/sled work for “cardio” with most of my fat loss coming from extra sled work and gradually cutting carbs. I truly think it worked wonders, I don’t just use it for legs, I do presses and rows as well.

As usual, I am at work and can’t see pictures, I will check them out later.

I have the same problem, sucks especially when putting on weight. Can’t really do shit about it except for get to low bf like others have said. Shoulders look round as hell man.

After looking at the pictures I wouldn’t stress your chest at all.

Hopefully some other vets can chime in, but as I was getting lean the first time (late 2010), I still thought my chest was fat, then I came to realize it was just gravity. Pecs are naturally going to sag if you aren’t flexing which makes them appear fatter than they are. Trust me. Once you get leaner, start feeling around your pec when it is flexed, you will be surprised, it will always feel leaner than it appears due to the sagging from just being relaxed. My two cents.

Thanks for the input on the chest thing. Well I am off to bed lots of cardio, eating, lifting, and posing to be done tomorrow. Meeeting with my coach tomorrow. Will let you know what she says. Thanks again.

Hey Tankman, anyone stepping on stage with you is fighting for second place!
Looking at your diet the only thing I could suggest is increasing the amount of fats, would be worth checking that with the usual experts.

Good luck

Alright, I have a new question. So during the day at work I am dragging ass all day. I can barely get through the day without dosing off, but then when I finally get home and get to lay down to catch some sleep I wake up three or four times during the night and I am extremely restless through the night. Anyone else have any experiences similar to this? This has only been happening maybe two or three times a week, but when it happens it really sucks. I don’t take stimulates after 2pm and I am in bed by 9pm. Also during the day I usually feel better up to an hour after I eat.

Yes, it has happened to me. If you find yourself restless at night, I suggest not fighting it. Just get up, turn on a dim light and read for a few minutes to help relax. If I lay there for more than a few minutes and start to get stressed, I will get up and read until I actually fall asleep reading.

Also, don’t force yourself to go to bed at 9pm if you still feel awake. Better to stay up a bit longer doing something relaxing than to force yourself to lay down and toss and turn.

Regarding energy during the day, are you drinking enough water? I find drinking tons of water really helps energize the body. For example, I am on my peak week for contest prep and depleting today. In spite of having very little carbs today, I didn’t drag all day because I was drinking over 2 gallons of water. I have no science to back this up, it is purely anecdotal, but I think being super-hydrated seems to allow your body to function optimally.

You mentioned you feel better after a meal, so the obvious question that comes to mind is: are you cutting out too much carbs or calories for where you need to be right now?

Ok, have not posted in a while but the cutting is going well. Unfortunately I have a question. I was doing heavy wide grip Decline bench press to weighted dips and I strained the crap out of my bicep. It hurts really fucking bad. I strained it three days ago, no discoloration or swelling but i can’t use my bicep or even do a push up. I can still pose with a little pain. Any ideas on how to try and get this injury healed realativly quick. Headed to my Chiropracter as I am typing this. Going to also buy some croquet balls and try to do some release techniques. Also thought about getting it poped with cortisone and baby it for a few weeks. Any ideas or recommendations would be helpful.
Thanks
Tank

I hurt my bicep pretty badly as well from doing presses, the only way I could train chest for many months was with:

Close Grip Dumbbell Press with Neutral Hand position - so the dummbell is parallel with your body and you bring your upper arm right along your side

It worked wonders for me. It seems to take the bicep as stabilizer partially out of the equation, enough that it allowed me to train chest/pressing without it hurting.

Thanks, will try it Sunday!!

Well bad news bicep has still been killing me. Went to the doc he is 90% sure I have a partial tear in my bicep. Scheduled me for an MRI wednsday. It feels swollen inside. Can’t bare weight on it either. Hope the doc is wrong.

DaddyStrength.com - raabidfun does crosswords here man try this out. I did this when I strained my hamstring a few months ago and I was back on track pretty quickly

ok got into a ortho’s office today. had to pull a few string but got in with a guy that really knows his shit. he did a bunch of mobility work and ultrasounded the area. he said that i have a tear where the pec attaches to the humerus. he said it is a very small tear and will not require surgery. the doc gave me some rehab exercises shot me up with cortisone and said dont lift on that bad boy for a month or two.

How long do you plan on avoiding lifting?

ouch… how’re you dealing? I know certain things you can ‘work around’, while others you either can’t, or just decide not to risk it. What’re you thinking?
