Currently, I try to lift weights everyday, and I quit if I feel weak that day, which is 2 random days in a week. I could have a set schedule, but I might feel weak on a lifting day and feel strong on a rest day. My gym is right downstairs, so wasting time is not an issue.
If you are getting one or two days “off” if you feel weak, that would likely be enough rest on AAS.
In my 20’s and 30’s I lifted weights 6 days a week. I always took off Sundays.
Also, when not on AAS (including cruising) your body will need more rest.
Probably still fatigued from trying too hard gaining strength back from your 10 week cut.
Here’s hoping this starts a “is TRT natty” thread!
now there’s a thought.
Words have meaning. And the meaning can depend on the user and/or listener of the word.
What does “natty” mean?
I don’t use the word, but I imagine that it is catchy abbreviation of “natural.”
If “natty” is merely an abbreviation for natural, then any and all exogenous testosterone is not natural, regardless the rationale for taking it.
I take 100mg of testosterone cypionate every 5 days. This is not my natural testosterone.
How many people did I anger? When I can qualify something as either black or white, I do so. So the question is: Does “natty” have a grey meaning?
Does “natty” have a grey meaning?
I find it interesting how we only ever tend to apply it to testosterone.
There’s nothing natural about taking caffeine before training. Your level of stimulation is being artificially enhanced. If you’re a diabetic and you lift weights, you better not be using insulin, because that’s not natural. Do you need reading glasses to read your training program? All your gains are void: totally unnatural. I’m hoping you didn’t eat any processed food in your pursuit of gains: you defied the natural order!
But we forgive all this stuff: it’s only when we start talking specific hormones that we concern ourselves with natural.
Enhanced or not you should not be training more than 4-5 days per week.
Oh my god thank you.
How much you wanna bet OP doesn’t chime in again. This is his MO. He was banned on evolutionary for this type of crap. He copy/pastes the same crap on multiple sites.
Caffeine occurs natural in some foods, still natty
If you need insulin to stay alive, take it, but it is not natural
Need glasses to read? Get someone else to read it for you. Just a weak example.
Processed food is not any benefit to people training with weights, but I suppose it falls in the not natural category.
In interest of general use of “natty” in the weight training community, we should limit the conversation to exogenous testosterone in this thread. Though the unnatural use of HGH and insulin surely falls outside the “natty” category
This philosophy was totally ignored during the 1970’s and ‘80’s. Training 6 days a week was standard for serious bodybuilders.
Caffeine occurs natural in some foods, still natty
Would this mean we’d be ok with someone who used cocaine as a pre-workout considering themselves “natty”?
Need glasses to read? Get someone else to read it for you. Just a weak example.
Hobbes would argue that this is very much NOT the state of nature!
Processed food is not any benefit to people training with weights
Bob Hoffman certainly argued otherwise with his protein powder, alongside many of the other protein products people make use of. But ground beef is also a processed food, so we have that too.
Example of coffee is natural by my definition. I understand it is limited by some athletic federations.
For sure, again: I just find it interesting where the distinctions lie. You asked if there was grey in the definition: we’re discovering it.
If I had my own meat grounder it would simply be part of meal preparation
Is Hobbes the authority?
I don’t know who Hobbes is.
he’s not training. he’s exercising.
Is Hobbes the authority?
I don’t know who Hobbes is.
Thomas Hobbes. Yeah, I’d say he’s an authority. Well worth reading.
If I had my own meat grounder it would simply be part of meal preparation
And not at all natural!
Not the electric stove, plates, forks, spoons, or knives, not to mention all electricity coming into you house, the hot water, the roof over your head, the bed you sleep on, or the clothes on your back…
