I am having some down sides to using Arimidex. Can someone tell me what the proper equivalent dosing would be for Aromatsin? I know it is recommended to take 1mg of Arimidex per week. Thanks for the help?

I am taking T-Cyp EOD .25mg and I was taking .2mg of Arimidex EOD as well. For some reason, I was not feeling well and my BP shot up. I am taking a BP med and that has kept me in check, but once I started taking the Arimidex, my blood pressure went up. I know that is what is causing it. My doc prescribed .1mg of it every day for five days and .75mg of Test Cyp. So, that is why I was wondering about trying another AI to see what would happen. Thanks!
I also take bp meds. Arimidex helped my bp by shedding water. I take a half mg daily for that last six months. My weight is dropping so I would expect I will reduce the dose soon. Wish I had the answer for you. My t levels went up over 500 points after adding arimidex. I was able to reduce cypionate by a third. Good luck to you!!
Tigger, It sounds like your E2 is still crazy high.
It’s possible that Adex just doesn’t agree with you,
but this is the first time I’ve read that someone actually had BP rise with Adex.
I could be wrong, and hopefully some other member will chime wrt that issue.
Have you spoken to your doc about it ?

FWIW, Cyp didn’t work for me, but Prop does and has way less side effects IME.
You can get Prop RX’d in the US, but it has to be through a compound pharmacy.
I’ve noticed a lot of the Anti Aging Clinics now offering it as a blend with Cyp lately too.

Thanks for all of the info and help. I cannot express my thanks enough. I am planning to go to the doctor this week, so I have a lot to discuss with him. I am going to try and get him to prescribe T Prop and Aromasin and see how I do on those. It has been frustrating to say the least. I would love for my wife and family to have her husband and their father back! How much does Prop cost in comparison to Test Cyp? Thank you!
From a compound pharmacy it’s a little more than cyp.
I think something like $90 for 10ml of 100mg/ml, where cyp is closer to $40 for 200mg/ml.
Cannot hurt to ask your doc for prop, but I’d try the cyp at the same dose and schedule you are
on now, and swap out the Adex for Aromasin first.
I found a few threads of guys reporting high BP with Adex, and stable to lower with Aromasin,
so your situation isn’t as unique as I thought. For most Adex is great, and it’s really cheap.
Aromasin, can be more expensive if you are paying cash, but if you have insurance, it would run the same

I am 59 years old, weigh 250, 5’10" tall. I am an IT guy so am pretty sedentary at work, though I workout and walk at home. I try to eat low carb as I do have diabetes and that is controlled via insulin pens and exercise. I notice that I get pretty good headaches on the Arimidex as well and I am only taking .1mg a day. I will talk to my doctor about getting switched over. Are you sure I should stay on Cyp, or should I try Prop? I will speak to him about that as well. What labs should I request?
I take a product called DSF which feeds my adrenals. Before taking that, my BP would go all over the place due to stress. I do not know if my adrenals are an issue or not. My temp was low, 96.9 when I checked in the AM, so I have been trying to increase iodine. Do you know if Iodoral is as good as a liquid product? Again, thank you for your help!

Iodoral is a very good product, I’ve tried Lugol’s iodine solution and it didn’t agree with me.
Currently, I’m taking KELP for iodine, but it’s too early to report any changes.
But remember, each person is a unique case, what works for me, may upset your system and vice versa.
I’d ask your doctor first for prop, but before I did that, I’d just switch your AI to Aromasin, it shouldn’t
be a big deal to your doc. Prop is really effective for me as I have low SHBG, if your SHBG # is average
it won’t help you all that much.

Well, just got back from my doctor. Got a bunch of labs done, but don’t have the results yet. However, he has given me a script for Test Prop, HCG & Aromasin, so I should be able to try those and see how they work. Just thought I would let you know. I will post my labs when I get a copy of them next week. Again, thanks for your help!

I’ve found that small daily injections work best with T-Prop.
I use 29g .5in 1cc Slin pins and I inject my delts. It’s painless.
I do 12.5mg per day and I take 6.25mg aromasin EOD.
You may need more or less, but it’s a good starting point.
Hcg can spike E2, so you may want to hold off on it for now.

Need your help again. I have searched all over my town to see if someone could provide Test Prop with a script no less. There was only one compounding lab that would do it and it was $140. There has got to be somewhere where I can get this for less money. Any ideas? Anyone know of a compounding pharmacy even nationally that will do this with a script. HCG was $100 as well. I guess this lab is charging the max as they are the only game in town. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
I found a local pharmacy that has the HCG and the Aromasin, but I am still looking for the Test Prop. The cheapest compounding pharmacy in state I have found is $100 for 10ml. Is that about right? Again, thanks for the help. PKMan, I know you suggested staying on the cyp and taking the Aromasin and see what happens. I just am not sure how to dose on Cyp with the AI. Thanks!
The $100 sounds in the ball park, I can check with a friend that got prop Rx’d and
filled through a compound pharmacy. Probably better to use the cyp right now as it is holding a
variable constant while you change up your AI. Just dose it daily at 12mg per day, and take 6.25mg
aromasin (one qtr of a 25mg pill) every other day.
Lets see if that relieves the BP and Edema.
I found it to be a lot less expensive getting HCG from an international pharmacy.

I agree with most people paying too much for ancillaries. It’s not hard to find them cheap. Just have to look around a little. Test makes me a little more nervous, but nothing but idiot endos around here, so if I want prop I’m going to have to get it myself.

Here are my labs:
Estradiol 34.3 pg/mL Range: 7.6-42.6
Testosterone: 668 ng/dL Range: 240-827 pg/mL
Vitamin D 25-Hydroxy 31.6 Range > 30.0 ng/mL
With my last labs, my Testosterone was 907 and my Estradiol was 114. I have since started SQ injections, (3) three per week at .25mg. I was doing Arimidex, but was having side effects. As I told you in my previous post, the doctor prescribed (8) pills of 25 mg Aromasin for the month. I am still doing the (3) three Test Cyp shots, 25mg each time. I took my first Aromasin today cutting it in half. I also did 250iu’s of HCG. Do you have any advice from here? Thank you!
