Quite a few BBers have read philosophy. Those 2 are not exclusive.

I’m not implying BBers can’t read philosophy. There’s just something slightly absurd about going around telling people “I read philosophy.” Philosophy is such a broad term that it becomes an almost meaningless statement, and strikes me as sounding like something a freshman undergrad would say after reading Foucault for the first time.

Ah. I see what you mean.
I feel the same about martial artists and MMA fighters. The REAL ones are the ones NOT publicly wearing clothing that advertises their fight skills.
Maybe he had some fortune cookies laying around… Snapple cap facts perhaps?

LOL!
Hey, that’s where I get all my ‘life instructions’.
“Chicken Soup for the Bodybuilder’s Soul” perhaps?

Seriously Stu… you should write a book together with axioms and aphorisms for bodybuilders. It would be informative, yet irreverent, and a bit of wit thrown in.
I would illustrate it.
We would cash in.

Lol, you know, I was just joking with the wife that I’ve become quite the master of motivational quotes this past year. Having to handle so many clients via constant texts and emails, I always try to keep them focused on their goals. Bodybuilders and physique competitors don’t always need this, but as I’ve started working with more of the general population, THIS lifestyle that people on here choose can seem so foreign and scary at times, that it’s easy to forget the mental intimidation that keeps some people from taking control of their lives.
Maybe we should create a series of sayings with illos and make a subscription service for a daily motivational text? I know Gaspari will text you sayings, but even the great Dragon Slayer doesn’t have the much sought after Iron Dwarf images as accompaniments!

I’m up for that!
Sometimes those things do get compiled into books.
