Is this why your avatar only shows your upper body?
this is the part i never understood about this site. the guy above obviously has some decent sized arms and is bigger than you, yet you feel the need to point out his legs for no obvious reason IN AN ARMS THREAD. you cant just say good fucking job for adding an inch to his arms? honestly.
They look for the fault. Most of them seem to be like that. They will attack the most muscular person around them just so they can feel better about themselves for a second.

The reality is, someone like that doesn’t just do it for muscles. They would act the same if their neighbor bought a new car, wore an expensive suit or had the best looking girlfriend.

The majority of the general public seems to be that sort of jealous hypocrite.

I will say that the people I have seen make the most progress in bodybuilding often seem to be the least like that.

I suppose I would expect to see the same in most successful individuals.

“Let ye with Legs cast the first stone.”

That’s how it goes, right? So um, quit sinning.

i find this alot with people who wanna be big but dont want to put in the work, time, and dedication to get there. so when they see somebody more developed than them they automatically say “oh hes on steroids” or “must be a genetic freak”. or my favourite is “yea youre big, but youre not really defined.” i never understood the logic in that statement. nobody can accept your current state for what it is and what it has come from, and just say “damn man, good fucking job”. everybody is a hypocrite even though they dont even look like they workout.

I think 27.5 inch thighs and 18 inch calves are decent leg stats, my friend. But say what you like.

And thanks to all you guys who had my back on this one

Since nobody has explicitly said it, I’d be honored to be the first…

Good fucking job, man!

Well, when I started lifting, after getting frustrated with ~no arm growth with curls and no back growth with rows and pull-downs and shoulder pain with pressing, I stopped going to the gym and did chin-ups. Lots of chin-ups. I added a few pounds, inches on my back, and about an inch on my arms, just with lots of chins. (got my arms to 12.5" flexed). Now I want to get better at weighted chins (mostly because I need to get bigger bis quick), and plan to use 45 lbs for multiple sets of 5 (and probably one set of 10) by the end of September.

And, Bret Contreras’ EMGs have shown the weighted chin-up to activate the biceps more than ANY OTHER exercise (including curls). And, there’s irradiation: individual muscles will be stronger when working in groups than when working alone (i.e. you can lift more in a compound exercise than you could in a sum of isolation exercises for the muscle groups involved)

My 2 cents.

jesus christ.

Here’s my 2 cents. You know nothing about making arms grow. A grown man with 12.5" arms is in no place to give advice on how to build big arms.

The idea was that what months of curling and pull-downs didn’t do, chins did, and it’s worth a try.

The point is, they didn’t “do” anything. Your arms aren’t developed.

You can read every book and article in the world, if you don’t put that “knowledge” to work either on yourself or training others, you ultimately don’t “know” shit.

Heavy deads for arm growth

What did they do?

I mean, if you are a troll, I hate that I am wasting my time.

If you aren’t, do you realize your arms are extremely small for anyone but a relative beginner at this?

You are lean…but I would be surprised if your arms even measured 15" around.

There are tons of people doing better than that here.

X, you’re looking better with each new picture that you put up. Don’t give up on the diet, you look fantastic and when you get to the point where you have your abs out you’ll blow minds here.

When will this “just do pullups for big arms” thing stop!

Man, I’m trying. My body isn’t used to this much of a reduction in food intake…but surprisingly, I am still lifting the same weights with the same intensity as when I started…which means I ahve never been this strong at this body weight before…ie “150lbs”.

You would think the lack of big arms would be enough.

Nope, stupidity is stronger than logic.

Dude…I know that I’m new to these boards and all, but you’re just under 6’ and 175. Let me repeat: 6’. 175 pounds. You’re gaining 2lbs a month and are worried about ‘gaining fat.’

Doesn’t take an expert to know why you’re not seeing the gains you’d like.

Go eat. Go lift heavy.
Second that Go Eat and Lift Heavy… The Alot of the Best NATURAL bodybuilder lift in the 4-6 Rep Range, that has proven for me and lots my clients to work best. Also make sure your getting enough protein. Also do big compound lifts that allow you to lift more

~Mike Thomas

Eat more and I would say 4 to 5 sets of 6-8 reps. If you reach 8 reps on the first set the load is too light and up your weight. If you do 6 reps and can’t rep out 7 in the first set your too heavy so lighten it up. Hitting the biceps 2x a week will also help. Also between sets flex your biceps to get blood into them to help with your pump. Sounds stupid and people might look at you weird but it should help.

I am 6 foot and have cut down to 170lbs… (from 190 currently on the V-Diet) but my lifts are much higher then yours and my biceps after losing weight are at 14.5"

I can do 10 decent pullups, to answer your question.
Bench: 80 kg
Squat: 120 kg
Deadlift: 130 kg
Well my arms are 16.5", I can only curl a 35kg Barbell for 3x8 reps, but I can Bench Press 105kg and do rack lockouts with 120kg. I recon your arms will grow if you increase your big upper body lift (Bench Press)
