Arimidex

What is Arimidex normally prescribed for? How should I go about getting some? Is there a way I can get a doctor to prescribe it for me? Are there any supplements, herbs, nutrients, etc. that might duplicate its action.

Arimidex is normally prescribed for advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It’s usually used as a second line of defense after tamoxifen. Getting your normal family doc to prescribe it would be tough. I’m fortunate enough to have a very opened minded anti-aging doctor as my primary care physician. Even so, he didn’t even know that clomiphene could be used as a treatment for male infertility until I told him to look in his PDR. Sure enough, after he saw it, he agreed to presribe it in order to stimulate endogenous LH and Testosterone production. Be open and honest with an anti-aging doc or someone who is more open minded and there’s a chance they’ll precribe it. Getting your insurance to cover it is a completely different story. As far as supplements go, I had found some evidence a while ago, that our own Methoxy-7 may work in a similar fashion, at least in vitro. I know Tim was conducting some in vivo studies to see if it really panned out. I don’t know if it did or not.
