Are People Here Not Trying Very Hard?

Edited Post

OK, now - front squat with 400 and 15 pullups please!

and once again. He didn’t tell us that “I’m freaky strong” cause it’s acceptable. Freaks happens:

but he said that:

I have a freaky genetics and my shitty arms are 18 inchers… is everything OK with me??? am I a material for good BODYBUILDER???

not, you are not. You may be a strongman/powerlifter (if your maxes are true), and nothing more for now

Don’t do this. No need to wear a belt; it will only create faulty abdominal recruitment and weaken your core.
x2. I said that a months ago, and I was cursed here…

To the people saying he’s fat and ugly and not good material for bbing… What the fuck?
Fat? Really?

The only part of him you can judge are his arms, and he doesn’t know how to pose if his life depended on it.

The first shot is the only decent one, and there he has more tricep long-head sweep than many people here…
His muscle-shape looks perfectly fine to me there.

No way to tell what his arms will look like from the other side, but the front-double bi pose may end up a real strong-point at least…

FWIW based on where you are now and your height etc, you’ll make it to 250 with your eyes closed… Make a training log in the tl section, regularly tape your lifts so we can give you a few pointers if anything is off and then it’s onwards to freakdom, which is probably closer to 300lbs in your case.

The guy deadlifted whatever amount of weight that was with a horrible set up.

Wait until his form improves. I think he could add 50lbs right off the bat just by taking a narrower stance and a narrower grip. Or maybe he’s suited to pull sumo, who knows.

OP you didnt lock out that deadlift. Work on squeezing the glutes and pushing the hips forward to lock out.

The wider you keep you hands the more distance the bar has to travel. You hands should be just outside your hips at the start/

OP: Congrats on the lift. I had my doubts, but you are quite strong.

ok dokey…

and I don’t wish to cause a flame war…again… but given the progress i’ve made in a couple of months my goals by the new year are to

 1. Get close or past a 400lb bench
 2. Get close to or past a 600lb deadlift
 3. Get close to or past a 550lb Squat.

And maybe move my weight up to 250 ish, i’m sure I can do that if I eat enough shit.
lol please don’t go nuts guys.
Those are humble and reasonable goals, good luck.

Right when I thought locking out wasn’t cool anymore since no one else said it.

The vids wont load, but it seems they are legit, keep workin hard.

isnt anyone gunna ask for a flick of the legs that squat over 450 and leg press over 100000000?
It’s two in the morning here, my gym opens in 5 hours and i will be in there then.

You guys can expect some vids in about 8 hours from now i’d have thought.

Don’t know what I fancy doing today, I don’t follow a program, I will just do what the hell I feel like and as long as I get stronger at the exercise I don’t care what it is.

Maybe I might even deadlift/squat/and bench all in one session.

We will see.
Good.

We need some more freaks around here.

I hope you get huge or become absurdly strong one day.
I’m a freak bonez. True story. That being said, I’d say the reason most people have responded negatively in this thread is just the douchebaggyness that the OP projects in his first post. Something similar to Austin_Biceps “I can whoop your ass so don’t mess with me or call me a fag” attitude mixed with Celtic’s delusional self, and a bit of professor X arrogance only lacking the knowledge or body of X. Again, douchebaggyness, similar to truthiness only not so cool.

OP: There are people on the biggest loser with 20 inch arms+ guess what, nobody thinks they’re all that awesome either. Congrats on the lifts, I’ll be interested to see some vids and always enjoy watching people prove others wrong, best of luck.
Youre skinny. Go away.
No? As far as me being skinny, I’m comfortable where I’m at 196 @ 5’8" and sub 10% bodyfat.

In an odd way, i’d like to add that I am GLAD that I didn’t start reading all this bodybuilding stuff on the net until after i’d been in the gym a week or two. I think the great thing I had going for me was that I had little comprehension of what ‘strong’ was or is. Although I did know the exercises. Indeed, I expected to go into the gym and see monsters everywhere — this wasn’t really the case tho, lol.

However, I think that because I didn’t have a concept of ‘strong’ IE an “a 400lb bench press is the absolute ultimate mentality” There was an innocence to what I was doing so I could TRULY push myself to whatever my REAL capacity is. As opposed to being limited by the fact that most people on the internet think that X amount is a huge lift. It’s much stronger than I currently am, but I will get there soon enough.

I think perhaps reading a lot of this stuff on the internet is very self limiting for people… if someone sees a 400lb bench as the ultimate, not only will they NOT get a 400lb bench, maybe they wont even hit 300, you know?

So much more of this is in the head than people realise. IMHO, but what do I know… i’ve only been in this a couple of months… and I don’t even “look” good either. But I will one day :-)
Do yourself a favor and continue to avoid reading that stuff… Apart from some of the injury prevention, setup, technique and diet articles/sites (though again you need a strong bullshit detector there), and pretty much 2 brand-name programs for bbing (more for powerlifting), it’s mostly one huge waste of time.

WTF is up with the 3rd video! Why would anyone do that?!?

Anyway my question is, am I blessed? Or are all these guys here with 1000’s of posts and yet only 14/15/16 inch arms lazy as fuck and not trying very hard?
I’d say you are blessed. I can’t verify the lifts or the size (the vids/pics don’t come through my filter), but if they are legit, then you have a very good base.

That said, not all of us have such a good base and some of us struggle for each and every inch/pound. Effort doesn’t always equate to big numbers (at least not after 2 months) for a lot of folks.

I tell people the same thing. I think if you’re doing a me sets then a belt may be ok, but for the most part belts do more harm than good. I see guys walking around the gym hunched over wearing that trusty belt. Then they tell me I better wear one if I’m gonna squat. Funny.

Congrats man. Your mentality and freaky natural strength reminds me of a guy who use to hang around here called MegaNewb. Granted, this guy DLed like 900 pounds at 18 years old or something absurd, hahaha, but it certainly appears that you’ve got it.

Keep up the good work and stay humble.

I hope everyone talking shit earlier on apologizes. That shit gets old. Most of you fuckers AREN’T trying that damned hard and you know it. Also, most of the women here are more serious than the guys. Why is it every time someone calls people out on this, everyone gets defensive like they all bench over 400lbs for reps?

I doubt the average person on this site even looks like they lift at all yet people tore this guy a new one all because he noticed the exact same thing everyone else does who comes here.

Guess what, the secret is out…most of you half ass this…and many of you just got schooled by a newb.
