Are My Quads Too Big for My Upper Body?

On the Jan 13 (i think…) picture you look pretty good dude.

Just like everyone’s saying though, bring up the rest of your upper body.

Good job though, you’re doing better then most here I’m sure.

So I shouldnt bother with OHP since according to exrx they target mainly the anterior delt ------ dumbbell lateral raises are what I want to focus on?

Tip: You also need to be careful WHO you fucking listen to.

You keep the overhead presses. That is what helps fill out your entire shoulder complex with main emphasis on front delts. That is why anyone who wrote before that you don’t need direct work on your front delts is WRONG.

You add lateral raises.

You add rear delt flyes or reverse pec deck.

You DROP the full body bullshit unless you want to continue having huge imbalances like we have seen on this site too many times to count.

I mean, shit, I can pretty much tell you guys who train that way without you even telling us just by how you lack development in entire areas but are overdeveloped in some.

Full body routines, in my humble opinion, are for the type of person who claims they can only train 2-3 days week…or the type who claims they live in the “real world” so anyone who trains 6 days a week must not have a job.

They are NOT to be used if you want a balanced physique without spending years trying to undo the awkward imbalanced damage you have done

Welcome to how to really get big.

its not exactly full body; i typed it out wrong. I do calves and hamstrings on the leg extension and leg curl for 15 minutes before I swim.

I’ll never do a split that you’re talking about, though. I’m willing to add things into the superset in the 2nd weight room and thats what i made this thread about

lol okay I don’t think I am COMPLETELY wrong in saying don’t do direct front delt work. Celtics need it, some people do so much becnhing, incline, db pressing, military pressing…to add in front raises would be overkill in my opinion. For him I would FOR SURE say add a heavy main shoulder movement and after that drop to a smaller movement lets say front raises and kill it from there.
Rear, lateral delts are a given.
But we were talking about celtics so my mistake for puttin it in the wrong context.

Celtics although I’m guessing your goals are physique I would change the split up.
What exactly are you currently doing…I mean outline the week…sets reps exercises.

I think you could make a lot better gains on a better program. Although I believe most programs will work if you bust your ass hard on them…if your busting your ass you might as well do it right and bust your ass for better gains right?

As for the upper body/lower body.

Do not neglect your legs. Your legs aren’t too big…but they are big compared to upper body.

If you want to focus on your upper body - do so…but in the mean time add in some squats, stiff leg deads, rack pulls etc. Just do a lower amout of volume for it so you will make strength gains consistently and this way you won’t be too worn out from leg days and have plenty of energy and room to grow to attack your upper body hard to get the results you want. As well don’t do a retarded amount of volume for your upper body so you put it in submission and make no gains.

My advice in the end is take advice from the guys that know their stuff right now giving tips. Very good information and if you follow it will give what you want (a balanced upper body that is much bigger) This isn’t my thread but I’m takin notes.

is my chest really that bad? You seriously think its lagging? Look at these 2 pics

this is compared to someone who ran a cycle of steroids. I think the chests are about the same. He has less bf and bigger shoulders, true

lol even though he ran a cycle of steroids…I’m bigger than him and I’ve never touched steroids, doens’t look like he does much work for his chest either.

Everything can always be improved and brought up, for you I’d say def. shoulders, and a more fuller chest you’d look pretty balanced out from the front and have a good physique.

Hey Celtics,

Either you’re not 5’10" or your legs are way bigger than 25.5"

Just my 2 cents…

Celtics how you doing my man. Listen, my cousin is an “adult film” director and hes looking for a male to play a medium role in an upcoming release called “Pimpin’ b*tches.” You wouldn’t have much dialogue, you’d just have to act super pimpish and be able to fuck for like 10 minutes. You down? I see potential…

Agreed. Even if he was 5’4", they are almost certainly bigger than 25.5". I am still convinced this guy is a troll, and right now he’s trying to convince people he isn’t so they don’t ignore him.

That’s impossible. This guy is clearly telling the truth. I think he’s ready for the T-Cell. I’m waiting for more pictures.

Ok I’m just seeking confirmation if you guys REALLY think that my lat width is terrible or if im being tooled on

like i said, i can do 19 consecutive dead hang pullups

I think you look fine, but yeah, if I were you I’d just keep doing what I’m doing, but well, heavier and with more food. There shouldn’t be any worrying about body fat percentages or measurements. That is of course unless things start to go wrong, but I don’t think they will.

Here is my take:

I think you have made good progress, but a good number of the members here have the goal of looking like sick freaks when we walk down the street. So, with that in mind, yes you need work, in the sense that we all still need to add inches. (Except my penis, it is already huge.)

You express in a bodybuilding forum that you perceive that your legs are too big, which means that everything else is too small.

I can only say this: You’re not helping yourself by having the goal of cutting to be the “second coming of Frank Zane” in, what was it, another 5 weeks or something (as you trolled in another thread)?

Eat more, lift more, sleep more, repeat more.

I hope I don’t overfill my ignore list.
