Can't Even Believe This Man

I think this really demonstrates the power of genetics in bodybuilding. I don’t believe everyone is capable of doing this. The fact that he was 19 and looked the way he did…well, that just speaks for itself.

It makes me think of any before/after pictures of top bodybuilders and how while some have some notable changes, most of them just look like more mature and developed versions of their previous selves. Arnold comes to mind. (Lou Ferrigno comes to mind on the other side, those who did make significant changes, but again, he was big by 20.)

I’m still in disbelief from seeing this kid.
He better take it to the hole and sweep the Olympia in several years.

wow

Yeah I’m jealous, because I’m 20 and look like a broken toothpick in comparison to this guy. :frowning:

There was a thread dedicated to him a while back.
Amazing genetics.

But none of us really knows our own full potential.

Potential = you haven’t done it… yet.

Wow…he’s awesome. To think he’s the same age as me…just wow

Please don’t post things like this because it basically just makes me want to quit at life, thanks.

Hey JLu, just sharing my feelings with all of you bros. We in this together.

Yeah yeah, it’s what we tell retarded kids. You can be anything you want if you put your mind to it.

Simple fact = Genetics is king. Those that deny it or make excuses around it are unwilling to accept their reality. 99% here will NEVER look as good in twice the time. Nevermind looking like that by 19.

And why? MAybe he discovered a secret routine. Or a secret diet. Or maybe HIT is the key? His weights looked light and form sloppy so maybe that’s it? OR he maybe found a magic cycle? Wait i know i know, he trains for the burn.

Point being that once again GENETICS.

Just like the MATH wiz in class. HE is good at math because of his Genetics, not because he got some secret math learning technique.

Same, I’m going to go to the gym and observe some squat rack half-curls and barbell-sterum-bouncing to regain some confidence in myself now…

not to be picky and go off topic… but intelligence isn’t influence by genetics as much as you want to believe it is… if at all. We definitely gave that up a few decades ago.

Why would anyone want to be envious of this guy. Its totally oblivious to me considering the fact that he started using steroids at a young age and will likely face the consequences of that who knows how long into the future.

I am not jealous of this kid, but I am envious of his size. I wish I had shoulders like that, even though I probably will be stronger than this kid through my entire life.

But then again who cares if he took steroids, if you don’t go all the way you ain’t trying.

So that implies there is a formula for raising a child to raise high IQ Individuals that will accel in any topic you teach. Also it implies anyone can be Mozart. Anyone can ne Einstein and anyone can be Galileo or Coppernicus.

I’ve seen and had students in class that had Uncanny natural abilities to see and understand Math or Physics or Chemistry.

You are also implying i can raise a borderline Savant.

Yes and no. Early childhood is still thought to be pretty influenced by genetics. However, as you mature, the equation is more and more dominated by environment. Things like highschool math are going to have little to do with genetics.

I also think that genetics are a large factor in BBing, however, almost nobody pushes their genetic limits. And if you are way below your genetic potential what are you complaining about?

I just finished the book super-freakonomics and he has a section talking about a statistical evaluation of “natural talent”. He makes the assertion that natural ability in sports is WAY overrated. He even makes the claim that if you take a regular guy and have him dedicate his life to a sport, with good coaching and encouragement while young, he can generally grow up to be a professional level athlete.

A lot of this assertion comes from birthday data as it relates to pro athletes. What you find in most sports is that a majority of the pros are born in the couple of months just before the cutoff in the age bracket of the youth level sports. Now, these kids arenâ??t genetically more able than any others through out the year, BUT in youth leagues they were always among the oldest kids on the team. That means they probably got more playing time, more encouraging results, and were more likely to stick with the sport.

Of course this is going to vary from sport to sport, a 5-3 guy isnâ??t going to be a right tackle, but he could probably make it in pro-football somewhere.

Yes, at least to a large extent. Even things like economic factors (compensated for parental iq) has an impact on IQ.

Even Einstine could have grown up to be dumb if he’d had 0 stimulation as a child. Not to mention that, in your statement, you rule out all the studying and reading and focusing and effort Einstein put into physics throughout his life. If he hadn’t, as a child, focused in and read and studied and essentially thought about physics constantly, are you saying he still would have come up with general relativity? He like all the greats, dedicated themselves to a task with intense dedication before they became great.

Most children can reach a high level.

He’s on STEROIDS.

If I injected myself with 250mg testosterone enanthate a week, I would look 600% times better than this kid. Even on a diet of taco bell, slim jims and double stuff oreos.

While he is very impressive, I must say that, from an opposite sex attraction standpoint, the distended gut ruined it for me.

That said, he is massive, and is obviously happy where he is, so I say, “Good job.”

I remember reading an article from one of my friends sociology classes in high school about a doctor who on the day of his daughters birth declared that he would raise this girl to be a genius, and it worked. If I can remember who this was or somehow find the article I’ll provide a link.

fawk that is awesome.

i like that shirt the guy with his hands in his pockets is wearing at the end of the video as well.

shiiiiiit. dude is baller.
