Amazing genetics.
But none of us really knows our own full potential.
Potential = you haven’t done it… yet.

Yeah yeah, it’s what we tell retarded kids. You can be anything you want if you put your mind to it.
Simple fact = Genetics is king. Those that deny it or make excuses around it are unwilling to accept their reality. 99% here will NEVER look as good in twice the time. Nevermind looking like that by 19.
And why? MAybe he discovered a secret routine. Or a secret diet. Or maybe HIT is the key? His weights looked light and form sloppy so maybe that’s it? OR he maybe found a magic cycle? Wait i know i know, he trains for the burn.
Point being that once again GENETICS.
Just like the MATH wiz in class. HE is good at math because of his Genetics, not because he got some secret math learning technique. [/quote]
not to be picky and go off topic… but intelligence isn’t influence by genetics as much as you want to believe it is… if at all. We definitely gave that up a few decades ago.

Yes and no. Early childhood is still thought to be pretty influenced by genetics. However, as you mature, the equation is more and more dominated by environment. Things like highschool math are going to have little to do with genetics.
I also think that genetics are a large factor in BBing, however, almost nobody pushes their genetic limits. And if you are way below your genetic potential what are you complaining about?
I just finished the book super-freakonomics and he has a section talking about a statistical evaluation of “natural talent”. He makes the assertion that natural ability in sports is WAY overrated. He even makes the claim that if you take a regular guy and have him dedicate his life to a sport, with good coaching and encouragement while young, he can generally grow up to be a professional level athlete.
A lot of this assertion comes from birthday data as it relates to pro athletes. What you find in most sports is that a majority of the pros are born in the couple of months just before the cutoff in the age bracket of the youth level sports. Now, these kids arenâ??t genetically more able than any others through out the year, BUT in youth leagues they were always among the oldest kids on the team. That means they probably got more playing time, more encouraging results, and were more likely to stick with the sport.
Of course this is going to vary from sport to sport, a 5-3 guy isnâ??t going to be a right tackle, but he could probably make it in pro-football somewhere.
