Not as shmecksi as you :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you kindly sir. Just trying to hold my own against you.

5/3/1, 3 week , Day 3
Monday 8/15/11

Lower back was a bit sore for pulling on Saturday.

BB row
somexsomex135
3x155
3x175
13x195
3x175
13x155
5x10x135

Slowly but surely getting a better feel for these.

Ab wheel
5x5

Shrugs (slow and squeezed)
10x135, 225
11,10,9x315

Rows looked great dude, and I’ll be shrugging tonight, see if I can beat you

Good work on the rows, not sure how heavy I could go doing them how you do but seems like a decent weight considering! I do them ā€œYates Rowā€ style myself. I’m going to try some ā€œno momentum/held contraction shrugsā€ after my normal shrugging sets on shoulder day- see how I measure up

Awesome rows man. Technique looked spot on, really had a good contraction going in the upper back. Solid shrugs aswell. No wonder those traps are getting HUOGE! How is 5/3/1 treating you nowadays?

<3

Looking strong in here. You lift in a storage facility or is that your garage?

Dat back width.

I forgot how your workout looked before you hit the 315x9 shrugs, so by the time I got to them…weren’t happening. You win this time, BROSEPH

@ink: Thanks man. Yay for me, I win lolz.

@jake_j_m: Be warned, the ā€œno momentum/held contractionā€ shrugs are death haha. And thanks.

@whatever2k: I think my ā€œhugeā€ traps are more of an illusion. I luv me some 5/3/1 lol. Can’t complain with how it’s been working.

@MAsteve: aww shucks

@WhiteFlash: I appreciate it man. Not a storage facility, a garage. Although a storage facility sounds a lot cooler.

@phlegms: Much gratitude man! But it’s all lighting and camera tricks.

Lookin thick brudda. Keep up the good work man.

Photo-shopped traps, I knew it!

@blaze: just trying to catch up to your back.

@phlegms: I know, i iz ashamed :frowning:

5/3/1, 3 week , Day 4
Wednesday 8/17/11

Squat
somexsomex135
3x205
3x235
11x265 (fml, I need to mentally toughen up with these higher rep squats)
3x235
3x205

GM
3x10x135

A lot easier than I thought it would be. I went in thinking 135 would be more difficult. Recorded all 3 sets to make sure I was doing them right.

Ab wheel
5x5

Squat (high bar)
(3x225, 230, 235)x3

These felt light and fast. I’ll up the weight a bit next time.

Good session buddy. Nice work on the squats, but it definetely looked like you had more in the tank I agree. But as we all know, squats and deads over 5 reps are more of a mental game than anything. GM’s looked good btw. Ive tried em, but just never got the feel for em.

Really solid looking squats as always man, I’m eternally jelly.

@whatever2k: Thanks man. Lifting is as much mental as it is physical. Thankfully the lifting game is far from a sprint, so I’ve got a lot to strive for

@phlegms: I appreciate it! Sometimes I feel like my squatting is atrocious, but upon reviewing some video, my squats appear to be serviceable.

5/3/1, 3 week , Day 5
Thursday 8/18/11

Pull ups (alternating grips)
5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5

Military press
somexsomex95
3x125
3x140
3x155
3x170
3x185
missx215

Probably should’ve just gone for a rep PR w/ 185 instead of attempting 215. It’s all good though, just gotta keep on working and I’ll have it.

Push press
(3x165, 160, 155)x5

Felt awesome.

Bradford press
8x65, 95, 115, 95, 65

Death.

Tri-set: (laterals–>front raises–>press)
3 sets

Suicide.

You suicided as part of your workout? wtf bro

<— mad cuz he can’t ohp 185

Yeah, how’d the suicide go? You haven’t posted since then…OMGAREYOUOKAY???

I heard committing suicide is a good speed drill. :stuck_out_tongue:
