I’m talking about the part before you get down and grab the bar. I simply thought it looked funny and tried to make a joke about it. Obviously I failed horribly.
haha gotcha.

I feel you on the backside concerns of the snatch deads. I worked up to mid 3’s with it for a few sets and my hamstrings were dead the next day. My back was fine, but I think that’s just cause my back is too strong for the rest of me
Must be nice being so big and strong…
I’ll let you know what it feels like once I actually get there

Week 2, Day 1
Monday 4/30/12

CGBP
2x5x205
3x5x225
3x3x235

Had some trouble keeping my back tight.

4" Block pull
4x4x315

Felt like the secks.

Inverted rows
Band face pulls

Upper back was on fire. I definitely need to keep hammering my upper back. Doing so should help with keeping my back tight while benching.

Week 2, Day 2
Thursday 5/3/12

Oly squat
2x5x245
3x5x265
3x3x285

Meh. Must hammer at ankle mobility.

Illegal wides
4x4x205

Still awkward to rack/unrack. Hammie cramped a bit.

Ab wheel
SSB lunges

LINK PLZ!!!111!!!

On a serious note, I find mobilizing the ankles especially difficult. I haven’t had much trouble working on my hips and what not. TEACH ME.

use it everywhere. it hurts, but then you feel better. check mwod for ideas

Thanks man!

I just realized I have some of these, but not from Rogue. Mwod is a great place. So far I think my heel cord needs some love and attention.

You’ve been very quiet lately dood. How are you planning your workouts lately?

The heel cord one was the one that was super for me. Due to all the running in ROTC, it’s all kinds of jacked up, so getting the junk out had a huge effect.

Busy student is busy student lol.

Right now I’m kinda sorta trying my hand at block. I basically have my weights all planned and just go in and do them. It’s a welcome break since at the moment I don’t feel like thinking about training.

Ultimately I’m just trying to find a way of training that I really enjoy and that really works. So far I know I like more of a total body training session wherein I do some upper body lift and lower body lift (squat n press, pull n press, etc.)

I just need to figure out my programming.

Yeah I guessed. Don’t miss that student business!

I also like having most of my body worked out each session, combining upper and lower has worked very well for me and it’s fun. And I’ve also been studying block and more of the science behind weightlifting for a couple months now… It’s been very rewarding. Although I find the opposite to you and I now think about stuff more than ever lol.

Week 2, Day 3
Friday 5/4/12

Glutes n abs were nice and sore coming in.

Military press
2x5x140
3x5x150
3x3x160

Had a triceps pump going lol. Overall was harder than anticipated.

Front squat
4x4x225

Wide grip BTN press
Shrugs
Curls

Week 2, Day 4
Monday 5/7/12

Geezus, it’s getting Africa hot.

2" Deficit pull
2x5x285
3x5x315
3x3x335

Push press
4x4x170

Ab wheel
SSB GM

Meh I need to eat more dead animal flesh.

Week 3, Day 1
Tuesday 5/8/12

CGBP
2x5x205
2x5x225
2x3x235
3x3x250

Awful. These were harder than they should’ve been. That, or I choose to high of a weight to base my percentages off of.

4" Block pull
3x3x335

Somewhat sore back n hammies from yesterday made these a bit harder than usual. w/e.

Inverted row
Band face pulls
Curls

Hey.

Put a lot of weight on the bar.

Then lift it.

You can do it.

This was awesome. I tried it today with a mini band for my legs and it’s like a miracle release. Thanks for posting!
