Back to total body stuff on Monday…hoping to cut at least 10 morelbs, and I’ll give myself 6 wks to do it, which should be more than enough time!

so I decided to finish losing some more fat, before pursuing anything else…the hard part is how do I know when I’m done losing? ![]()
below 200 was my first goal, then 170ish , now 160…how low do I go? visible abs? haha
I’m ready to take on something new, and admittedly am ready to get off this fat loss train…but I need to finish what I started…I just dont know where to end…
It’s a long hard road to visible abs, trust me. I’ve been trying since December, heh. If I stand under a bright light and crunch really hard, I can just about see a couple of them. Standing normally, nada.
I’d say take a break, do maintenance for a bit and train for something different, then if you still want to get ripped, go back on the diet. But staying on a diet for months on end is just…dull. Just don’t go crazy, is all.
well, thats the thing… you either train for fat loss OR for muscle…I want more muscle, but I also want less fat when I start a clean bulk…
I don’t really consider my eating habits a ‘diet.’ I eat when Im hungry, stop when I’m kinda full…protein, good fats and fruits/ veggies(kinda primal?)…I view carbs as accessory items really…but I know they will be necessary down the road.

MIM, you know you can do both, right?
^ to a degree…but from my understanding you train for either or…when you are trying to cut fat, cals are usually lower and you are lifting to maintain muscle and there is normally cardio involved…when you are training to GAIN muscle, you get to eat!!
But not going all crazy unless you want to gain all fat, and usually not much cardio is happening…
Thats what I know in a nutshell!
^ Curious - wouldn’t the latter option of eating and gaining muscle inevitably lead to fat loss?

My free meal is Tuesday dinner b/c I go from work to class so I have to eat out. Granted, my diet is still horrible but it’s getting better and will get even better when I get a set schedule (or at least set shift) at work. I like working second shift b/c I can wake up without an alarm clock, have a yogurt, then a protein shake 90 minutes later, then go workout before work. I eat lunch in the employee cafeteria which has gotten a LOT better and I bring my dinner, usually a TV dinner, and then something later in the evening.

I’ve heard it said that if you pay particular attention to nutrient timing (ie: when you’re eating your carbs), and timing when you go low-cal, and when you go higher-cal, you can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. Basically, you try to stay very low carb, and low cal, most of the day. But, after/around your lifting, eat your carbs! And keep your cals higher after you’ve done an intense lifting session, including the morning after.

Two good sessions this morning…the first was with my client ![]()
It makes me very happy to see someone working hard…and towards the end of her last sets she didn’t give up and was grunting away…
I’m proud with the way I train people(so far) And I get so irritated with the ‘popular,’ trainer there…she has her own flock, I swear…she’s always busy…but the shit she has people doing drives me NUTS!! Like one of her signature moves is to have people stand on there toes,with there elbows pinned to there sides doing the half top of a bicep curl…it looks so WEIRD!!!
Anyway…I guess we all have different ways of doing things…maybe her way is to drive people into the ground so they feel like they are doing something…or if the move is hard enough, it makes them feel like they need her? There is no way these people would work out with the same intensity without her there…and I NEVER see them working out alone…

I didn’t think so…and that’s what I want, the best of both worlds! Decided I can’t really put a time limit on when/if I’d do a bb’ing comp…and I’m still searching my heart on that one… but there’s no rush.
I thought if I had an end goal while the man was away, it would make the time go by faster…but I don’t want to start pouring my heart into something I’m not even sure of at the moment. And like I said, who knows if I would even be ready to get on stage in April…who knows whether I will have earned enough muscle to deserve to be on that stage?
I will still continue to train hard and eat well based on my goals: which at this point is still to steadily lose more fat and maintain/gain strength…with strength comes size…and hopefully the end result will be that I LOOK THE PART… ![]()
speaking of glutes, a really good one and personal fave of mine are single leg straight leg dl’s…requires a lot of balance but gets you right in the KISSER!
