Anything's Possible

I know Alisa, it’s about time, right?! :stuck_out_tongue:

Kim- thanks…some days I certainly don’t feel young, motherhood does that sometimes
…but my energy is soaring lately and I hate to waste it sitting in front of the computer, teehee!

Great to hear your energy is revved! That’s a really great sign - all systems go.

well, that didn’t go too well… got the little one to school and she immediately burst into tears and was sobbing ‘I wanna stay hooooome.’

How could I say no to that?

I’ll train this afternoon…got an orientation at 630 anyway.

yes, it really is nice to have energy! when for so long I didn’t…

I blamed it on being a Mom, but really I had hypo-t and didn’t know it…nothing drastically out of range, but enough to feel it though…

speaking of, I need a check up!

I get an energy boost just reading up on all the logs- it makes me want to go right back to the gym and lift more. I just need to keep in mind that recovery is part of the process. I train 4 days a week for a little more than an hour each. Total per week almost 5 hours and the results have been good. The one thing to remeber is to eat very well and enough to sustain the effort and obviously sleep enought to recover.

hi M-i-M!

good to see you picking up clients and belated congratz on reaching and maintaining weight!

lol@ picking up clients…I guess 1 in 5 months isn’t bad rolls eyes

The other girl flaked out on me before the Holidays struck and is ‘busy with work.’

A 9-5 job with a steady paycheck sounds AWESOME right about now!

Training went well…aside from the fact that it was packed like sardines…Im not part of the evening crowd, so I think I shocked some of the dudes there…GASP a girl, QUICK lift more than she is!!

teehee

It didn’t go as planned, cause I didnt plan on it being so PACKED!

Bench
worked up to
4x6x105

1 arm rows
3x8x70, …good for grip!!

incline db bench
2x10x45 1x8x50s

straight arm pull downs
3x10x40

close grip tricep bench
3x10x75

Tricep pressdowns
3x10x45

Elbow felt fine!!

Fine benching and rowing! I’ll bet you had more than a few guys scrambling not to get shown up by a girl.

plus, I looked pretty cute in the pants I was wearing  even my hubby commented, 'hey you DO have a butt…well, I’ve always had a but, but you know what I mean :stuck_out_tongue:

nice pants…

nice work on the rows, and looks like some fine pulling went on earlier,
did you say 50’s so rugged.

70lb rows? That’s going some! Nice.

Nice MIM! That is an enviable workout! How I long to hit those numbers.

HA! Distracting the boys with your big weights and cute pants…well done!

Thanks everyone!!
Soooo, I swung by the clinic to see if they had a copy of my test results.(allergy) When I called a week ago she said she would call when they came in…

Anywhoo, don’t know what it all means, but apparently I am allergic to grass and ragweed, lol…

The also tested me for:

Cats
Dogs
*not lying

Something else I can’t pronounce:
C Flovum with a result of—> TNP
HUH??

pecans
walnuts
almonds
egg white/yolk
milk
wheat
soybeans

But NOT for any fruits or vegetables, wth??!!

the interesting thing is that if I am reading this right then I have a low positive allergic reaction to the stuff above?? Cause <0.10 is negative
.10-.34 is borderline
.35-.69 is low positive

And I got <.35…so less than 35, but more than??? I have an apt next Thursday with an allergist to make sense of everything and get more tests!

Stayed home with the wee lass again yesterday to be sure she wasn’t sicky anymore…
Didn’t go to the gym either…A) I was SORE sore sore!! B) didn’t have enough time between the hubby getting home and when he had to take our son to cubscouts C) didnt feel like dealing with the evening crowd…

So, back to it today! I’m still feeling the deads I did on Monday, and the rows I did on Tues! :stuck_out_tongue: Today is squats…I’ll give it one more try to see how it feels on the elbow…bringing my camera as well…I also worked out the calcs for front squats just in case…

Eats!

ckn
pear
handful of organic oatmeal

whey(I’m bringing my shaker cup to the gym…gettin serious!)

tuna, rice, carrot celery thing I made last night and didn’t have any!

Snack??

Dinner??

One more thing…I was thinking that those test results must be negative…I mean, who have you ever met who is ‘slightly allergic,’ to all those things??

Or maybe we all ARE?! hmmm weird…

I’ve been feeling pretty hungry all week, but I’m ‘stoking the furnace’ with smaller meals every 2-3 hrs or so…go metabolism!! I feel lighter, so hopefully when I weigh/measure tomorrow morning I’ll see some sort of reflection of that. If not, I feel good anyway!

MIM, I had allergy tests done last year and they tested me for the usual grasses, trees, cats and dogs and they tested for foods. But they did the foods the same way as the others ( swabbing a bit of the allergen on my skin) and she explained to me that this method for testing for food is pretty new and unreliable so we take the results of it with that in mind. Or something like that, it was a while ago and I don’t remember exactly how she put it, but the gist I got was that we can’t count on the results.

I don’t know if that meant we might see false positives or if the test might fail to detect a food allergy though–a pretty important distinction you’d think! Because I wasn’t there because of a suspected food allergy so I didn’t worry about the results. Also like you, they tested only for the things you listed there, no fruits and vegetables.

Interesting! Mine was a blood test…she took like 4 viles!
I just want to know why I broke out in hives…I havent eaten whole corn since, but have things with corn in it(tortilla chips) :stuck_out_tongue:

I get a reaction to melons, avacado, corn and some raw veggies like broccoli…my throat gets all scratchy and my voice gets hoarse!..but that was the first time I ever got hives!! My throat was closing up and I was wheezing pretty bad as well…

Oh ya, here’s my 110 squat…I wanna keep going as long as it doesn’t hurt! I challenged a friend to a 225 squat last year… Knowing her, she has surpassed that, but I want to say I can TOO!..then I’ll be happy…
