Ah, I see. Hmm, interesting. Let me know if you find a natural whey. I got out of the shower to find my dog had spilt what was left of my shake and was enjoying the last of it :-/
I’m hoping she doesn’t ‘hulk up’ or worse yet, get sick. I’d feel better if it were alittle more natural.

Had an orientation that went WELL!! I’ve got like 15 or so more people to call to set up orientations…all females wanting to get stronger and lose some pounds…thats my thang! Feeling hopeful smile

I got a new method of taking the peeps through basic fitness tests…pushups, situps and stepups…the girl I had this morning couldn’t even do 3 solid girl pushups and only got 10 situps…but she could do stepups all day long…which I’m seeing is fairly typical…

But by doing this gives them the sense that YES, they do need to train with weights to get STRONGER! And from this day on, if they stick to it, they WILL! You can’t get strong by walking on the treadmill :confused:

Got my jog on while I was there as well…Im thinking Im going to have to do my jogging after training on leg days…cause there too sore the day after!! But I don’t like jogging on the treadmill, so I’ll probably do my jogging in the evenings…

sooo, depending on how much $$ we get back for our taxes, we may put some away for a few months worth for the daughter’s daycare…I want to take the summer OFF from school, and spend time either finding a job or waiting to find out if I get accepted into the PT program for the fall!
I have an appt FEB 1st to speak with an advisor at the college!

If I get locked into a 40hr a week job now, that doesnt leave me the flexibility of trying to give this Personal Training a real shot, plus J’s daycare will go UP! Aaaand I’d have to pay for somewhere my oldest could go during the summer…so basically Id be working to keep my kids in daycare…nothnx!

Treadmills are for hamsters. If I’m going to run it has to be outside - can’t stomach exercising indoors on cardio machines. Ugh. Isn’t it dark and cold where you are though? Thought everything was covered in snow.

ya, it gets dark around 515ish…more light each day, yay spring!!

Snow is all gone…but ya, it has been cold!! Not really interested in jogging in the cold…only other option would be to do leg days at the drill hall on base so I could immediately run if wanted afterward(indoor track)

I called 10 people yesterday and got one out of the bunch for orientations…and today I have another stack of 10 to call…

hardly anyone ever calls back, and we’re only supposed to try and contact them twice…it SUCKSSS!!

hopefully you can track them down at the gym, and then you can persuade them to try some training with you. i imagine it can very challenging trying to reach them over the phone and convince them that way. you’ve got a lot going for you when you get to talk to them in person. hang in there!

ya, unfortunately calling people for orientation is my primary stepping stone right now…if they don’t call back, then???

I really want to do that comp, but now it’s a matter of figuring out how to incorporate this stuff into my training! Im not going to register until June to make sure I am ready and to see how many other women signed up…Or just say screw it, and do it anyway!

The events are as follows:

log press/axle press…alternating reps for 75s
WM-HW 120/120

Medley â?? Farmers Walk/Keg Carry â?? 60ft each way
WMHW: 120/150

Crucifix hold- 15lbs

Car Deadlift-smaller car

Kegs to 44" platforms + Keg Run 40ft down and back
WM: 100, 150, 200, 230/150

oh, and another week has gone by and I am still maintaining my weight at 183…which is good!!! But I was kinda hoping it would go down a bit with the added volume of training and a bit more cardio I’ve been doing…

schools are closed cause it snowed am inch last night ;/ I’ll hit the gym tomorrow morning…when the schools close the daycare at the gym closes…
