I was reading a article on the internet yesterday about how creatine is making a come back… Are any of you using it? Would it be a good idea to start taking it? The only supplements I use now are Low-Carb Grow!, Surge and Alpha Male. I am currently in week three of Strength-Focused Mesocycle by Chad Waterbury. My goals are to gain back some strength after taking time off due to a back injury. Size isn’t really my goal right now.
Any suggestions would be great.
I am about to start taking it at 3 grams a day with green tea, just like Mr. Berardi told me to. I once used it at 15 grams a day, but that was when i was using it to bulk, but basically i had my head shoved up my ass and didn’t really know what I was doing. I think i am going to use it the last few days of my bulk cycle, and use it over my “fat to fire” cycle just so that when i do ye ol’ keto diet, I can actually do weights, and not just deflate.
I didn’t know it was going out of style.
I’m currently off of creatine because i’m working on as much natural volume and neurolocical strength as I can achieve right now, but as soon as I plateau, creatine is gonna be back in me A.S.A.P. As one of the only legal suplements on the market that has been scientificaly proven effective, creatine has been a mainstay of my repetiore of supps. The stuff here on the website has also been incorporated into my rep. It is The Best Stuff I’ve Ever Used. Honest Injun, the sales pitches don’t do the products justice, and the workout advice works if you work it.
I havn’t taken any creatine for a while. I wish Biotest would bring back Ribose-C, it’s the best creatine product ever. My personal experience is that other brands just don’t even come close.
Yes, use it, it should help. (It’s that simple.)

I always take creatine with my Surge.
Who said creatine went away?
People just don’t talk about creatine anymore b/c there’s almost nothing left to say about it.
Thanks guys. I wanted to start taking it again with Surge as described by Chad in the Waterbury Method.
What brands of Creatine do you recommend? Plain powder or a mix like Phosphagen HP. I know EAS products are like sware words at this site but I couldn’t think of another brand that makes premixed creatine blends, SORRY. I wouldn’t use EAS stuff any how. I wouldn’t want TC after me.
Get micronized creatine that’s been put through HPLC or another assay to assess purity. (Plain powder)

Me too. I wondered why Biotest didn’t add creatine into the Surge anyway…is that when you want you carb/creatine intake? post workout?

Creatine will still be effective whenever you take it. But to maximize the benefits of it, taking it w/ Surge is a smart thing to do. Surge will help deliver it to the muscle cells PWO.

I use a creatine supplement called Vitargo CGL. It uses a carb called–yes, you gussed it–vitargo. This carb, with creatine and alone, is very popular with European athletes. It was developed by the Karolinska institute in Sweeden. Vitargo has many unique qualities.
Very simply, Vitargo CGL is the most effective creatine supplement I’ve ever used. You can see and feel the effects.

I use Creatine, 3-5g per day. I usually sprinkle it ont my lunch / dinner, as I think this will be the biggest insulin surge I’ll have most days. I also take 3-5g post workout (twice a week).

Where could a Canadian (TORONTO) get his hands on this “wonder” Vitargo creatine ? Could you give us a website or a link to more info about this stuff? Thanks and Happy Holidays.

jaybvee,
Vitargo CGL is made by Nutrex Research. You can find their products at any internet sports nutrition site.
They are the ONLY company (in the U.S. anyway)that has the rights to use Vitargo in their products.
As far as info on Vitargo itself, do a google search.

Any pure powder is good, As long as you have control over the dosing.I put it in my pre workout coffee, extra sugar. This gives a nice kick and its cheaper than dirt. Also kills a couple of birds with one stone. And just for gratuitous brown nosing- EAS blows vagrants for beer money! HAHAHAHA!
