What Brand of Creatine?

Hi,

There is about a zillion brands of Creatine (except Biotest). What brand do you use? Do you use the kind that is combined with Ribose. Powder, Pill, etc.?

any regular cheap brand that has the creapure creatine. i currently use prolabs. $20/kilo laters pk

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is Biotest ever going to produce a creatine product again? Inquiring minds wanna know!

Anything with the Creapure logo (as already stated above).

That’s a German manufactured creatine wich has been shown to be the best quality and most pure.

US made is also a good quality, but German is supposed to be more pure. I don’t know if anyone will be able to tell the difference in the real world, but why take the chance?

Chinese creatine has been shown to be the least pure, I’ve been told.

I use ProLab creatine monohydrate. It can be obtained online for about $20/kilo.

Anyone else heard anything about this Vitargo stuff?

I buy pure monohydrate myself. Currently it is not one of the creapure logo, but something by EAS.

Creapure by Ultimate Nutrition. Then if I feel like making something special I can throw in some fructose, baking soda, and coffee or tea.

Has anyone noticed a remarkable difference in results that can not be attributed to any thing other than changing brands or formulas? I have used stuff from Optimum and EAS plus a few others, with no signifigant changes in size, strength, or recovery.

Bump?

I was hoping maybe someone from T-Nation / Biotest might repsond to this? If I’m kicking a dead horse, I’ll stop.

Has anyone else noticed a significant difference in results based on brand? I can’t think of a reason this would be posssible unless someone was messing with the formula.

Why would they? Creatine is a commodity product where almost any company can produce a quality product with little effort.

Biotest makes cutting-edge stuff that nobody else can easily produce. You can buy cheap, quality creatine from just about anywhere.

Sci-fit kre-alkalyn. More for strenghth with no bloating/ retained water weight.

I also remember one of the contributors mentioning Micronized was better than regular.

Thats what creapure is in almost all cases.

A little background on Vitargo CGL:

It contains a unique carbohydrate (Vitargo) which is very popular amongst European athletes. The new carb was developed at the Karolinska institute in Sweeden.

Vitargo restores muscle glycogen faster and more effeciently than other carbs.

Vitargo produces an insulin spike comparable to dextrose/matodextrin

However, Vitargo is absorbed much faster than other carbs, and is said to draw the creatine into your system along with it–thus, insulin spike and creatine absorption are coordinated; a big problem with traditional dextrose/creatine combos.

I can tell you I’ve been at this for close to 20 years, and in that time I’ve tried all the various creatine products–none of them comes close to Vitargo in effects. This is one of the few nutritional supplements which you can really feel working: fuller muscles, better pumps, increased strength and muscular endurance, and increased recovery.

And, no, I have no vested interest in Vitargo CGL or anyone who sells it–I’m just passing along my observations.

Jeebus dude, I literally thought I was reading an ad that you copied and pasted.

I respect your opinions but must treat this like any other ad.

  1. How is it possible for another carb to be absorbed faster than malto/dextrose? Does this apply to muscle or gut absorption?

  2. If it enters the blood faster, then shouldn’t it create a bigger insulin spike?

  3. There is no way that creatine uptake happens faster than glucose. How does this enhance creatine uptake by muscle while creating a problem for other carbs?

I am familiar with the research on which this product is based, but these are some lofty claims.

BTW-If I misunderstood something, let me know. I’m not trying to straw man you! LOL

Cheers

In these brands of Creatine… Which ones can you mix with drinks and which of them are not to be mixed with drinks… And what do you prefer juice or just hot water???
